[List][*]Was a young father. First son born when he was 18. His parents had been unhappy, as his eldest son's mother was a married woman. Her husband divorced her shortly after the birth of her son. She abandoned the baby within Kazahana castle for Osamu to raise. His younger son was also born out of wedlock, and his lover had died shortly after due to complications. He was a young single father by the time he was 21.
[*]Osamu became the leader of the Wakahisa clan at age 22, after his father stepped down. As a young father with two children both under five years old, he'd matured fast. He loved both of his sons despite the hardships they faced.
[*]Due to his sons being bastard children, they could not inherit the title of clan head. After the fire of Kazahana Castle, which claimed the life of his brother-in-law, he took guardianship of his niece Koharu from his sister, who was suffering a mental breakdown. He had saved the girl from a life of neglect. Despite being her uncle, he raised her as his own, calling her his daughter. For all intents and purposes she is his little girl. Osamu left his younger niece in the care of other family members.
[*]While proud of his daughter, he has high expectations for her. She is his heir and will one day succeed him. Osamu gave his first katana to her as a gift.
