He wants to put smiles on peoples faces and help them forget the crap hands that they’ve been dealt in life. Dilemma: Besides being too small for a business that loves big men, Kip is struggling with an addiction to painkillers and a penchant for gambling.
Biography: ”born naughty” Christian Van Cise was born Christian Cameron Hyde on July 16th 1965 in Reno, Nevada. His parents were heavily involved in the local motorcycle club; the Iron Tribe and it was very obvious very quickly that Christian had inherited their knack for trouble. Kip as he would come to be known was always a good kid, friendly and polite but he had been born naughty and before the age of eight he had already been in lots of trouble at school for selling candy to other kids. When he was nine, both of his parents were arrested on various charges and Kip and his younger brother Mason became wards of the state. They were eventually split up due to their behavioural issues when they were together and eventually this ended with Kip being adopted by a family in Boston and Mason going off to LA. ”just a New England sleazebag” Kip’s sudden arrival in New England high society caused quite the stir and left a permanent mark of unbelonging on the youngsters skin. It didn’t take long for Kip to get up to his old tricks when he began selling his adopted fathers sports memorabilia through a mail order business at only eleven years old. Rather than chastise his young charge, the elder Van Cise appreciated his sons business acumen and began taking him along to the boxing and wrestling matches in New York and Philadelphia, this is where Kip developed a love for the actual sport itself and set his sights on becoming a pro wrestler. Having saved a tidy nest egg from his many side businesses over the years, at age sixteen Kip moved to Calgary to begin wrestling training. After just six weeks of training, he had his first match where he was aptly named by the commentator as “just another New England sleazebag”. Soon after Kip began touring the United States as a bonafide working pro wrestler. Due to his smaller size and good looks, he often worked as a perennial job guy (someone that always loses) a fact which really stuck in Kip’s craw as he knew he could out wrestle anyone on the card. ”a National Treasure that shines brighter than any diamond” With a little money saved up, Kip decided to relocate to LA. Not known as a great wrestling territory, he knew he would have to work ten times as hard to make it but the opportunity to be close to his little brother Mason once again was too good to pass up. Moving into a small loft in Oceanside, he took a minimalistic approach, he didn’t decorate his home with anything but the essentials as he knew he wouldn’t be there for long. Every pay cheque he received, Kip would forward ten percent to his brother to keep him afloat as he struggled. After a few months living in Oceanside, Kip seemed to get his big break when he was booked onto a tour of Japan. Whilst over there, he was given the opportunity to actually work and win a match instead of jobbing and was handed a live microphone: so fuelled by adrenaline and cocaine, he cut a promo calling himself “a national treasure that shines brighter than any diamond” and boom! Just like that, the American fans began to take notice of this out of nowhere talent. Just as swiftly as his popularity began however, it sank as within weeks, Kip’s back was injured and he found himself wallowing in a bar in Oceanside, frustrated, out of pocket and in agony. The real test now was how he was going to bounce back...
Extra Info: Heathers James Spader & 15AFBC
