In short. If you agree with the statement above. There's basically no difference here.

But, to clarify. The point of saying "nothing is original if you boil things down enough". Isn't stating a preference, or even really an opinion either way. It's a well-observed fact that people have been using and subverting many of the same tropes and archetypes for generations. Even before specific terms were created for them in some cases. But that's not a good, nor bad thing on principal. It's how you write it that counts.

My original statement doesn't even really go into what I find "original" personally. But I can bet, that's different for everyone.
