She must be a cyborg. That's where you're wrong. Yara is in fact completely human, but due to an event in her past she has been enhanced with cybernetic implants. These implants are in the form of small metal disks along the structure of her skeleton. These disks lay inches beneath her skin along her spine, inner and outer arms and legs, hips, and shoulders that are now infused with her muscle. Two even smaller disks lay implanted on each side of her brainstem. These disks allow Yara to connect to a metal exoskeleton. This exoskeleton is sort of bulletproof in that it doesn't allow bullets to penetrate, allows Yara at least 10% enhanced speed and strength, and even has a few tricks hidden among the metal layers. The only exposed part of Yara's body in her suit is the top half of her head. Why not just wear a helmet? Stop asking questions. Only the person that gave her this suit has the answer to that, and Yara hates the guy. While Yara is equipped with this protective suit, she prefers to save it for special missions and risky exchanges. When she isn't clad in metal armor, she wears what any other fashionable mercenary would. Complete with a holster for a weapon and small fanny pack, and a knife holster hidden in her boot. Not much is known about Yara's past except that she's hopped between mercenary ships for the past few years. She's done many odd jobs such as being a hired gun, bounty hunter, and has also been on a few missions to explore foreign planets and bring back precious resources. If you get her drunk enough, she'll even talk about her time with a group called The Maurader's. Yara has come to the Thermopylae mostly for the reward, but she is also extremely interested in the Hollow Moon. In her days of exploring she has never seen anything like this self-sustaining, biodiverse little hunk of metal. While she is still focused on reaping the benefits that may present themselves, her inner passion to discover new things is certainly at play.
