The youngest and last of a trio for a fledgling lawyer hoping to make District Attorney and a Dental Assistant who was considering retiring to be a full-time mother. Ashley was an overachiever, constantly wanting to prove herself to not her parents, but her siblings. Whether it was an off-hand foray into the Girl Scouts, an interest in classical piano, a stint in her high school softball team, or academic perfection she put all of her energy at it. In time she would learn she wasn’t quite innately talented enough for most of these extracurricular interests. By the time came for college she ended up going to law school, following in her father's shadow despite the two's turbulent relationship. While her father got older and more incapable, it seemed that it was here that Ashley’s time was to shine. However, despite such ambition and talent when it came to the law, it appeared the universe was out to get her. Her professors went harder on her, her first job interning for a firm went terribly, and her father stopped taking her calls. Turns out that blood was not thicker than water. When she confronted her father with accusations that he was deliberately sabotaging her career he laughed and started a drunken rant. How he should’ve forced her mother to abort her in the first place and how he believed that everything she had been doing was to upstage him and make ride on his “coattails”. A fight ensued and after a long time stewing in her car she decided to drop everything and leave Indianapolis. A small firm in Fort Wayne took her in and Ashley refused to resolve her feud with her more famous father. She would stand on her own two feet and he would never have to see her again. She has not been back to Indianapolis for any holiday since. Ironically enough, by September 2012, her father had apparently gotten sick and was reaching out to her. She didn't take his calls, though sometimes in the aftermath of the pandemic that followed she thinks about it. Re-listens to her voicemails. Right now she's focused on surviving in Fort Wayne in a little community called Faith.
[/cell][/row]

D A R N E L L E D W A R D S

[row][/row][row][cell] [sup]_______________________________________________[/sup] [sub]“Let it rain.”[/sub]

[sub]B A S I C S[/SUB] [sup]Age - 42 Height - 6'1" Weight - 194 lbs Build - Athletic Hair Color - Black Eye Color - Brown[/SUP] -

[sub]N O T E S[/sub] [sup]Former Athlete Darnell played professional and collegiate-level sports for over twenty years and as such has been in solid shape. Most notably, Darnell was known for his contributions to Indiana sports. He played college basketball at Indiana State and was a well-scouted player during High School. He was later picked in the second round of the 1992 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He played in said league for eighteen years, serving as a skilled sixth man. He ended his career in 2010 after spending four years with the Indiana Pacers. Following his retirement he looked into staying home in Indiana and returned to his hometown. Remembering his promise to himself to return to Fort Wayne years ago, Darnell did so with the intent of starting various community outreach programs. In the Summer of 2012, he eventually found himself at his old High School, volunteering to invest in the school which eventually led to an appointment as Head Coach of the Basketball Team. Having an ex-NBA talent on staff brought more prestige to the school and with smart investments into the school and the community around it turned Darnell into a prominent local figure. Whereas other retired NBA athletes squandered their wealth, Darnell found a better way. However, this would all end up mattering little in the long-term when a national pandemic reached critical mass. In the aftermath, Darnell met up with other locals after some time surviving the infected and situated himself in old church where a community of survivors established itself. They named the community Faith.
[/cell][/row]
