His breaths were getting more ragged, tired already from lack of energy, but as they finally found a tree to hide behind Emri took the chance to take big long breaths to recover the best he could. His cheeks turned a darker shade of green, his yellow eyes squinted as droplets of sweat trickle into his eyelids. But the small goblin maintained his composure as their prey was detected. His vision was slightly impaired at first. Not quite making out the number of slimes or the corpse of the prey they slowly consumed, but Hoi sounded confident in their plan. Emri trusted the thick goblin brother, gripping his newfound weapon as he readied himself for his first bout of combat. Hoi was the first to rush out from behind the tree and quickly made his way to the target he planned on, the Blue Slime. Emri’s mouth opened wide as the devastating blow of his cloth wrapped leg came crashing down onto the prey, but it was also at this moment that something strange happened. As he got a clearer look at the three slimes, information about the monsters seemingly made itself known to the brainy goblin in a glimpse. Slimes are blind and deaf. Emri didn’t want to make a bad impression on chunky goblin brother, and he definitely wanted to follow the plan. But as he found himself entering the battle after Hoi, a sudden emergence of bloodthirst overcame him. He tightly gripped the handle of his thornbranch as he charged in, drawing the oversized weapon behind him as he drew closer to the blue slimes rather than the one Hoi had engaged. Reaching the two monsters, Emri dug his heels into the soft dirt and pressing the padding of his left foot forward to swing out the thistlebranch in a devastating swipe with all of his tiny goblin might. Which in all reality wasn’t that much, but the soft slimes would surely take some result of damage from the frail goblin’s attempt. Right? Either way, after the lash of the flexible weapon was completed by Emri he would struggle to draw the weapon back up to ready himself again. He would be clearly winded after the attack, breathing heavily and looking more exhausted than before. Emri hunched over, tired, but still held onto his weapon and managed to speak clearly to his hunting partner. ”Weak prey. Easy for Hoi.” [@ERode]
