Hello! It's been a really long time since I've cast some lines out to see if I've got any takers - I hope to meet some of you all, and get a good story rolling. :) I've been RP-ing for a long while now, but with the isolation and all, I've suddenly got more time than I know what to do with. 

I'm in the Mountain Standard Timezone, and can usually post on a daily basis. I can do at least one post a day, or more, depending on how the days go. But before we get to the meat of things, I'd like to outline some boundaries and expectations.

[center][h3]Boundaries & Expectations[/h3][/center]

[*][u]No Smut:[/u] I will not be writing detailed sex scenes, sorry! Characters can totally have sex as part of their development, but I prefer to use the Fade In/Out method. Of course, I know part of the fun is the whole Will-They-Won't-They back and forth, so I'm happy to play through that, but once things starting going for real, I'll have to fade out. 


[*][u]Post Length:[/u] Definitely no one-liners for me. Consider something around low-Advanced, high-Casual level. I would prefer chunkier posts (~3 paragraphs on average), but I understand that sometimes it's not possible. I usually match whatever my partners give me, but I have been known to get really carried away sometimes (multi-page long posts lmao) - so flexibility is important! And on that note...


[*][u]Flexibility:[/u] I have no preference in playing whichever gender, but I do value variety - so if the story requires multiple characters, I would like to have the freedom of choosing what gender I would like all my characters to be, rather than be restricted to one or the other. 


[*][u]Romance:[/u] Will be necessary for this specific idea - sorry! Please note I'd prefer MxF pairings.

Note, writing samples are available on request! The stuff on my profile is really old as I really only ever RP through PMs. 

And that's about it! If anything else crops up, I will be certain to let you know as we go along - but this is a good starting point. Now, onto the fun stuff!

[center][h3]The Idea[/h3][/center]

I've got a specific hankering, but no specific plot in mind. This was born out of a recent obsession around Final Fantasy 7 - but, big warning, I've never actually played...any of the games. I've just spent too much time watching gameplay and everything. The main inspiration is Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Cloud and Tifa's entire relationship dynamic? [i]chef's kiss[/i] 

I haven't RP'd canon characters...ever, I don't think. But I'm willing to try if there's a willing (and patient) partner out there! Cloud/Tifa is consuming my heart and soul so I promise I'll work hard!

Otherwise, I'm also super down for trying to come up with our own story. While I adore the characters, I just really want to write something that features the traits of their relationship. And maybe that cyberpunk future dystopia-esque, fantasy-esque setting too! 

[b]Childhood Friends[/b] 
I know this is hard to do, as there's a lot of history to establish, but let's work it out! Maybe play out some of their history before getting started? 

[b]Slow Burn[/b]
Where every word, every intonation, every glance or every touch is sweet pain. There's something to be said about a relationship that builds gradually over time, that comes from familiarity and knowing the other person right down to the core. I've never done a proper slow burn before, but I live for the agony of the tension that just builds and builds. Plus the pay-off is always worth it. I know I'll fawn over every minute detail.

[b]Action[/b] 
Kind of adds to the above. Nothing brings people closer than being badass combat buddies. I love the camaraderie. The "I'll always have your back". The drama, the suspense, the injury, the angst! Swords, guns, fists, magic - anything will do.

[b]Shared Trauma[/b] 
I'm not sure what I have in mind with this, I just know that shared angst is something special. It can be a personal trauma, or a big cataclysmic event, or both? We'd have to work it out.

[b]Some Other Stuff[/b] 
This is basically just bits and pieces that aren't necessary or seem pretty 'late-game'. 

The Advent Children inspiration shines here. There, it was their (basically) adopted children. Their small, broken but found, family and fighting to protect it. I think there's a lot of heart and levity here, like making the most of a shitty situation. But like I said, probably won't crop up until way later, but a nice thought nonetheless.
