[indent]Dana's quiet, almost mute demeanor tricks people into thinking that she is an icy person by nature, or perhaps lacks the grasp on English to understand and converse with them. The opposite is true; while she [i]is[/i] proud and more than a little haughty, she is more than capable of understanding people and responding with the eloquence she believes they deserve. She is open to making friends, but her value judgement are harsh and uncompromising. She's not averse to someone seeking what's pleasurable to them, but doing so at the expense of other people will inevitably lead to sullen attitudes, and what's more, she will likely be easily goaded - or do the goading, if she finds someone particularly contemptible - into confrontation. Dana's temper puts all rumors of ice in her veins to bed; she can possess an irascible fury, and what's worse, a "do it yourself" mentality. A Yakuza princess content to sit on her hands, she is not.

She's not a [i]complete[/i] berserker, though, and indeed it's a sign of how much she likes you that she'll occasionally allow small hypocrisies in her presence. What's more, she has a mischievous and playful idea of fun, and even does her best to flirt with body language cues. More likely she will be attempting some prank or another, the more bombastic the better, or just picking a fight with someone unlikely to re-enter her life in the future. She also enjoys clubs, the nightlife, and [i]shopping.[/i] Those who Dana previously thought to be wretched slugs wound up becoming her friends after seven or eight hours of shopping, so long as they proved themselves forward-thinking and not tasteless.

[color=dc143c][b]Upbringing Synopsis[/b][/color]
[indent]Dana was born into a life of privilege and violence in equal measure. Her father was instrumental in maintaining the grip of the Yamaguchi-gumi, Japan's most pre-eminent Yakuza organization, on the major city of Kobe; her mother was a successful, if opportunistic trial lawyer who went to bat for her husband's associates regularly. It was an endless cycle that only became more and more lucrative, and Dana grew up with the importance of a man's code, as well as adopting her parents' loathing of those who broke their code. The superhero media she was weaned on as a kid only enforced her ideals of justice, honor, and fairness, and the violence in the shows taught her the way to deal with delinquents. 

While initially a shock to Japan's school system, Dana's forceful nature, keen eye for weakness, and penchant for winning loyalty (her looks didn't hurt) won her an early role in her high school's student council, a position that carried far more weight in her home country than it does in America. As the queen of her school, she led her class to unparalleled successes, with the intent of leapfrogging several steps from ruling the high school to ruling the Earth itself, and the stars above it. But like in America, high school plans always fall by the wayside; losing touch with people as uni begins is a global constant. Dana, the implacable leader of her clique, was no exception. In fact, she strayed further from her acolytes than they could have dreamed.

She came to America. She realized that the great fashion houses of Europe were taking more and more influence from American streetwear, a style she had always favored herself; in America, she saw a chance to thrive with an interest she had picked up in high school and become increasingly enthralled by. If she couldn't become a superhero, with the eyes of the world on her, then the eyes of the world would be on her creations instead. As befit her and her family's money, she wanted only the best, too - a place where her merits, her very moral code would be challenged. A place where if she thrived, she wanted to know it was because she'd earned it.
