Name: Anjali "Anya" Sidhu Age: 19 Gender: Female Orientation: Bisexual Ethnicity & Appearance: Anya is Indian, standing roughly 5'6", with deep brown eyes, and straight black hair down to her shoulder blades, her bangs hanging on the side of her maple brown face. She's got a svelte figure, which she flaunts regularly. She's usually seen wearing a low cut t-shirt with some logo on it, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of sandals. Personality: Anya is the kind of girl who will try anything and do anything. Partying takes precedence over studying for her, and she will do whatever is being offered at a shindig. Anything to piss off daddy. She is very outgoing, and tries to be friends with everyone she meets, but it's clear when talking with her parents she doesn't hold anything back from them. Background: Anya was born in Goa, India, but her parents immigrated to the States when she was one year old. He parents settled outside of Chicago, her father quickly rising though the ranks at Chicago Mercy hospital to become their top surgeon. While he may have been living the American dream, he certainly wasn't letting go of his Indian roots. He made sure Anya's mother taught their daughter to speak Hindi at home, and was fully immersed in her heritage. It worked for the first few years, but once she started going to public school, the seeds of Americana were planted in Anya. They didn't sprout at first, but once she hit puberty, she started shirking her culture in favor of those of the group. And she enjoyed it. It was a lot more fun than the strict caste system her parents were trying to keep her in. She became someone with two personas; the outgoing party girl who was everyone's friend at school, and the subdued responsible studier in front of her parents. She kept this up right until the end of high school. Her father wanted his child to follow in his footsteps, become a doctor, and they had sent Anya's credentials off to some of the top medical colleges in America. Johns Hopkins. Stanford. Duke. They all loved her; a smart, motivated minority, with a pedigree to match. Only problem was one of those adjectives was incorrect. Anya had no intention of going to university for another eight years. Not in the slightest. So she applied on her own to Harbour College. She snatched the letter she got back, her acceptance more than confirmed, multiple scholarships being awarded to her due to her marks. So when her father was debating her choices for her at the end of the summer, she broke the news that her answer would be none of the above. There was a huge fight, and she left the house right after, only returning to recover her belongings under the watchful eye of her friend's parents, the ex-football player and his wife. Her father was furious, her mom just stood back in that passive-aggressive manner of guilting someone into staying. But it didn't work, the seeds of Americana were in full bloom, and now that she was 19, Anya was going to do what she wanted, and that meant going to the beach college to party her way through an Arts degree and living her life the way she wanted, not her father. College Program: English Relationships: She gets periodical phone calls from her parents ordering her to reconsider, but they just result in many loud insults in Hindi being screamed between them. She was the only one of her high school friends to head for Harbour College, so she's looking to get a new group together ASAP.
