Harriet's eyes snapped open as her phone buzzed. She moved to grab it as she hopped down from the tree, floating to the ground with ease as she closed her notebook and hooked the pen to the side. Her smile instantly faded when she read the text, flicking her wrist as she teleported herself next to Benjamin quietly. "You called?" She asked as she sat beside him with a tilt of her head, her cheery demenour was... different. She was worried, and the air around her easily showed it. "Whats up with Steph? Is she okay?"
Jase stayed quiet as well, his eyes watching everything outside as he tried to find something out of the ordinary. He relaxed when he saw the familiar scenery of the base come into view. His eyes shifted to Carl as he seemed to stir slightly before settling. Jase moved his hand over to his head, gently brushing the hair away as he closed his eyes and focused. The small spines across his body seemed to glisten a soft green before small runes stretched down his body and onto Carls' body.
Steph stayed unmoving, she heard the boys outside her door. A small spark of happiness yelled in her to call to them to tell them she was there, but it was quickly and easily stamped out by the looming darkness of immovable depression. She heard their steps as they walked away as she let out a long, shaky sigh. She didn't really realize she was holding her breathe the entire time they were in front of her door. She moved to lie back on her bed as she stared at her lightbulb. She lifted her hand and focused on the darkness around it, watching it slowly bubble and shatter the lightbulb with a small 'pop'. At this point she didn't care if it was heard outside of her room, no one cared about her it seemed. Her love for Benjamin was obviously misplaced. Mike and Stuart was right, she was a demon, a beast, a fucking monster. She closed her eyes slightly and rolled onto her stomach, moving her head into her pillow. Her horns glistened a soft blue, lighting the room slightly before streaks of inky blackness snaked over it and suddenly the glow diminished. She side-eyed her phone for a second, she looked at it's case she had made, it was made to look like a small cutesy demon. Her hatred towards herself bubbled as she moved her arm to pick up her phone and throw it across the room at the wall, burying her head as she heard it shatter against the wall from the impact. She wondered if they had seen the note? It didn't have much on it, she couldn't be bothered to put any pleasantries to it. I'm sorry I'm such a hassle here for everyone. Just forget I exist. I don't matter anymore.
