Charlie is someone who minds his business for the most part. He doesn't go picking fights and stirring the pot or instigating anything, he just does as he pleases in his own lane. Drama isn't appealing to him, unless it starts to affect those he holds close. He's very easy to talk to and get along with because he tries not to get involved with any beef that people have (unless necessary), nor does he really hold grudges. Life is too short for him to hold something over someone's head for that long. On top of that, Charlie has much better things to pay attention and spend his time on. 

Charlie is also able to see things before most people see them, and has sort of a sixth sense when it comes to certain things. For example, if someone is gonna fall or walk into him, he'll anticipate it and redirect his path so that he has the lowest chance of colliding with said person. He also can anticipate when people will start beefing with each other and people will start having problems.

Charlie is afraid of losing the means to his free will. Whether it'd be being trapped in a soulless cubicle 9-5, or being trapped in prison. Charlie needs to be free.

Charlie never knew his mother growing up. Paula Mallet died shortly after giving birth to him due to a rather fatal shortcoming in the health care system that had promised to keep Charlie's parents in good shape. As a result, Charlie didn't grow up with a mother in his life. It was just him and his father for the vast majority of his life. Luckily for his father, Charlie didn't get in much trouble. He understood very early on in his life that things were tough with just the two of them. It was hard on Charlie's father to raise him by himself, especially as a first time parent.

However, one day, upon coming home on what was supposed to be just a regular day in the life, Charlie had found out his father had signed him up for Project Untamed. He simply couldn't handle the stress of raising Charlie by himself anymore, despite the fact that Charlie was much more self-sufficient and independent. His father signed him away in a heartbeat, and in the blink of an eye, Charlie was gone and taken away.
