Robert would then speak with the same enthusiasm as a salesman would presenting his prized snake oil cure-all product. [color=silver]"Miss Mayor Cresta Dustwallow, have I some news for you. This is Mirik, a fine specimen of the lizardfolk race, or Sarcogan in his native tongue. He is what they call a war-priest, his role is to scour the lands and investigate potential threats or, more importantly, potential friends to his tribe. Now you may be wondering, 'How in all the stars in the sky did the Deputy meet him?' Well, I met him a week or so after I had arrived in Hillhaven. He saved me from some dastardly beast that was about to do me in and, believe me, it was horrid."[/color] Robert shuddered at the memory. He then lays a gloved hand on the lizardman's shoulder and gives him a firm pat on the back. [color=silver]"Mirik saved my life back then and we've been friends since. I've been teaching him to speak like us and he'd been showing me hunting techniques and the best places to hunt. Sharper than a well-honed fillet knife, he is."[/color]

Robert then leaves Mirik's side and approaches the mayor and her mount and kinda whispers to her. [color=silver]"He may look scary but he's a big ol' dark scaly marshmallow. Don't tell him that I told you that, he's kinda conscious about being scary. Hates it almost as much as very loud noises. I learned that when he went bananas and threw my gun away when he and I hunted together for the first time...but I digress."[/color] Robert walks away before clearing his throat.
