Yeah the idea for the witch sounds great.  As for the pixies, I would probably drop the part about being reincarnations of children, since that seems pretty specific (that's certainly something they could [i]believe[/i] though, but it would probably be unconfirmed at best, in terms of the species as a whole).  But the rest seems fine!
