[color=3f6e6d][b]Upbringing Synopsis[/b][/color]
[indent]Meadow University has been in Nolan’s blood from the moment he was born. His parents, Patrick and Alexandra, met there in the fall of their Sophomore year while studying in the library. Patrick boldly passed Alexandra an index card with his number on it and the rest was history. Nolan’s mother was a political science major, using her four years on campus as a jumping off point to go to Law school, and his father was the star of the MU Football team until a career ending injury took him out of the game forever. After graduation, they found a house 5 minutes away from the school and tied the knot in front of the campus pond. Shortly after, the new Mrs. Jacobs took the LSATs and went back to school (at Meadow University, of course) to become a Lawyer. You could say that Nolan was a present to her for passing the bar exam, as he came along 9 months after she received her diploma.

Nolan’s youth was mostly spent on campus with his father, as once his mom started working at a local law firm, Patrick became Nolan’s primary caretaker. They often went to sporting events, specifically Football games and his father loved nothing more than educating his young son about the game, encouraging him to play when he grew old enough. And he did- as soon as he was given the opportunity, Nolan was on the field. The game came naturally to him, and it quickly became evident to Patrick that his son was born to be a football star. As for his destiny, Patrick was nominated and chosen to be the new head coach of the Football team at Meadow when Nolan was in high school. The pieces fell into place and Nolan was scouted and recruited to play for the University in his junior year, paving the way to acceptance at Meadow due to his talents on the football field (not to mention his parents’ monthly donations to the alumni association). 

In some ways, Nolan felt that being a football player was forced upon him by his dad. He was never given any other options and was basically obligated to play the game that his father loved so much. Of course, he has learned to appreciate and enjoy the game over the years as well, and now is in love with the sport, but in all honesty it was never his first choice. As he's gotten older, he's developed passions in other areas, specifically going to Medical School and becoming a doctor, but he doesn't want to break his dad's heart. Nolan has always perceived that his involvement in the sport was simply an extension of his father’s failed career. It has been far from easy having his father as his coach. The game never stops and Patrick is Nolan’s biggest critic, which has in turn caused Nolan to be hyper-critical of himself. But Nolan continues to play for Meadow University's team, all while studying in secret to follow his own path one day.
