Like, in the world? So.” The girl responded in kind, as she thought about her roommate’s answer. She had not even bothered to apply to UA? Yoshiba had applied to more than Ishin, though she couldn’t help to admit that she favored it. Her mother had gone to Ishin when she was her age and ever since her passing it had long been on her mind. She would never admit it to anyone else but she had feared that Ishin’s standard on academia would’ve boxed her out of an acceptance review. Her father had gone to UA, though, so she supposed that her intention was to catch the eye of either Ishin or UA, but she would’ve begrudgingly accepted any school that wanted her. Had she not gotten picked by her top three choices she would’ve probably been stuck at Chihaiten in Sakai or some other school that didn’t matter in the shadow of Ishin, UA, and Shiketsu. She wondered what Asuka would’ve done if she failed to meet Ishin’s expectations. Did she even put any other applications in? If she hadn't that meant she was either really bold or really stupid. Maybe both. Yoshiba couldn't help but respect that kind of decision. For all of her bluster and grandstanding Yoshiba couldn't help but not be a little anxious about tests and acceptance letters. She shrugged, keeping to her cool demeanor. “My mom went here, so it made sense. It was either here or UA, so I flipped a coin.” It was a lie, or an exaggeration of the truth, but she couldn't admit weakness.
