Certainly, this was a blunder on Yasu's side. She was far too absorbed with the plethora of books the young foreigner has gathered to realize that the desk he had chosen did not have much room for another person. Nevertheless, Yasu thought it was a good call to say hi to the boy. After all, he had proven himself very knowledgeable of many things, from World History to Magicks. "Trust me, you can speak Japanese much better than I do my second tongue, and I have been trying to learn German for half of my life" Yasu replied to the boy in a jovial tone. "And I don't really mind your talking, not one bit. In fact, I find people who are passionate about their interest to be.." Cute. That was Yasu's first thought. However, looking at the age and stature the young foreigner, she thought that calling him cute might be considered belittling and somewhat rude. "Highly attractive," Yasu corrected herself after a short pause. That's... That's not much better isn't it? She realized. It would seem like she was a highschooler hitting on a mid-schooler at best. "Anyway, you are very knowledgeable about history and magics. I can't believe you are younger than me," Yasu tried to course-correct.. Without realizing that there might exist races that retain youthful look regardless of age, or have such a long lifespan that they seem young despite their age in human's years. "Wait, you are younger than me, right?" Things are getting bad to worse at lightspeed. It was quite a surprise how Yasu's prior knowledge base would be so unhelpful in this place, where magic is as real as biology - still so much to explore, yet definitely real and applicable. "Ahem. I am Yasu Minori-Schreiber. Half Japanese, half German. I transferred into this academy last month. Nice to meet you," she finally introduced herself and reached out her hand in an offer for a handshake.
