Appearance: Erika is Caucasian, standing at 5'7", weighing 130lbs. She has short, blonde hair, the bangs swept across her forehead, with the rest coming to rest just at chin level. Her eyes are blue, the kind of blue seen underneath a frozen pond, and her gaze can be just as icy. She can be described as fairly attractive; nice face, good body. She will wear the standard issue military uniform when on duty, but when off, she prefers to go more casual, with a standard t-shirt and jeans/shorts combo. She wears a necklace considered a family treasure, as it bears a fang from the now extinct polar bear.

Personality: Erika is very ambitious. Feeling as though she is fighting through a male-dominated fleet, she tends to over compensate a little bit, willing to take on missions that any sane person would refuse. She also tries to avoid relying on anyone else's help, not wanting to seem like the little sister that everyone has to save. She gets along well with her crew, they are her trusted partners in this fight, and will defend them to the death. With her superiors, she is barely respectful, still sure she's better than them, and would be in their position if she could get past the the preconceived notions about women in the military. The only person she is willing to take advice from is Lt. Lidstrom.

History: Erika was born on Earth, to a large Canadian family. She was the youngest child out of five kids, with four older brothers. They had a proud military history, all Staals serving for the Earth in their battles, and naturally Erika wanted to serve as well, to prove she could be just as good as her older siblings. She enlisted and after a year's training, she became a pilot on a Corvette, just like the other Staals before. She was good, but she felt she could run the ship better than Captain Brind'Amour. They fought the good fight in many battles, but in one mission, the Hurricane took heavy damage and the entire crew had to bail. Erika's escape pod was the only one that did not malfunction, the rest all perishing. She was retrieved and immediately assigned to a new Corvette that had been commissioned and built to replace the other losses, and was to be staffed by survivors of other destroyed ships, as well as a new recruit.

Notes: Erika was just recently put in charge of her ship, she's seen this as a long time coming, despite her short time in the army and completely re-branded it to suit her image.[/hider]

Members: Captain: Lt. Commander Erika Staal, F, 26, ex-Hurricane

Pilot: Lt. Nicole Lidstrom, F, 39, ex-Red Wing, a veteran pilot, it came down to her and Erika to see who officially be captain of the ship, and Nicole was the first choice, but turned it down as she preferred to remain pilot. Despite the age difference, she has a lot of respect for Erika, and maintains a picture of class in whatever she does. She also advises Erika on some of the more complicated moves that are performed in battle.

Comm. Officer: Martina St. Louis, F, 35, ex-Thunderstrike, another veteran, an intellectual, joined the army to pay for school, then stayed in when she couldn't find any higher-paying jobs. She's shorter than the others, and doesn't look like much help, but she's very effective at relaying orders, and keeping on top of things.

First Gunner: Michael Green, M, 25, ex-Soaring Eagle, all offense, all the time, Michael doesn't know the meaning of "Cover fire". He goes after whatever enemy ship he can spot, and sometimes gets caught out of position because of his gung-ho attack style.

Second Gunner: Danielle Briere, F, 33, ex-Flyer. The oldest out of the gunners, she's trying to mentor the other three but not doing a very good job. She was the bottom gunner on her old ship, and not used to taking this role. She's still a very good shot though, able to hit targets that almost shouldn't be hit.

Third Gunner: Carrie Price, F, 23, ex-Rampaging Moose, almost the complete opposite of Michael, she's great at deflecting incoming shots, and playing defense, but when called upon to fire away on offense, she's not that good. Also a bit moody, she was picked on a lot on her former ship, which also knocked down her self confidence for a while, until she got a lot better at knocking incoming missiles out of the sky.

Fourth Gunner: Jeff Skinner, M, 19, a rookie, right out of the training academy, Jeff couldn't believe his luck in getting placed on a ship with almost all girls. He tried to score with most of them, especially with Carrie but predictably, got shot down by all, especially by Carrie. He's raw, and doesn't know many tricks, but his talent is unquestioned.
