Biography: Born in Briarwood Rick was the son of two police officers who were both veterans in their field. Rick grew up often with baby sitters, or his uncle Graham watching over him. His mother eventually started to stay home with him after retiring. Growing up in Briarwood he was often aware of the strange happenings around the city. But he thought nothing of it. Eventually the family relocated to Mariner Bay where he spent the teenage years of his childhood growing up. After graduating from high school as a member of the football team he got a scholarship to a local college where he spent most of his time at the gym, or helping in local charities. He often tried his best to help those who needed it, and wanted to become a cop just like his dad. As he grew older he did in fact manage to graduate, though not top of his class, from the academy and became a small time cop in the city. His enthusiasm dwindled slightly after mediocre jobs piled up but he was determined to protect the community. During the Alien Invasion he stood out as a hero among the police after rescuing a whole buildings worth of civilians from an attack by mechanized monsters with the help of the Space Blue Ranger. After that display he was recruited into the first operation lightspeed as a helper, and an assistant to the rangers. During a moment of crisis with a particularly tough monster he volunteered quickly to take the prototype Titanium Morpher into battle, and assisted them in winning. After that he stayed on with Lightspeed following the disbandment of the original team.
