Name Index Craig Sims. Age Index 30. Appearance Index A tall man, lithe in build, Craig Sims always seems to have the friendliest of expressions plastered across his broad face, which is itself a deep bronze in hue due to hours spent in the hot sun while not in the operating room attending to patients. For though he is a highly ordered man, living a moderately comfortable lifestyle in a small and easy to keep home, Sims is not averse to the great outdoors and often enjoys the bliss that such secluded environments can bring. As a matter of fact the only aspect in which the money he earns from work is truly noticeable is in the clothing he wears. Clothes that, while not the most expensive garments ever made by man, are still quite rich in appearance and often end up complementing other features such as his hazel flecked eyes or short honey colored locks. Personality Index Craig is, generally, quite the outgoing individual, which helps greatly in his chosen field of work as it is much easier to operate on a patient who is calm and relaxed rather than one who is not. Always confident, even around complete strangers, and easygoing, it is hard for anyone who is not outright averse to social contact as a whole to find good reason to hate him, though there are some exceptions to this. Most of which are centered around the habits and routines he's developed over the years due to his minor, yet quite persistent, form of obsessive compulsive disorder. One that compels him not only to wash his hands excessively, but straighten objects that are slightly misaligned, or rearrange things he considers out of order. Small things that, while helpful in some cases, usually end up driving a non-compulsive person to the brink of insanity. Obsessive acts aside however, Craig does his best to keep a positive outlook on life in spite of recent events, clinging tighter to the oath he took so long ago now more than ever. Ability Name Telekinesis. ADB Entry Sims powers are identical in nature to what has been traditionally described as telekinesis, albeit on a much smaller scale than was initially anticipated or expected. Rather than being able to lift extremely large or heavy objects such as trucks and manipulating them to his will, Craig is able to control extremely small scale and delicate things instead. Examples of which include the internal regions of the human body and the inner workings of various machines. As for the full range of this ability, it appears to be quite small, usually no larger than the area he is currently focused on. Furthermore, it appears as though the use of gestures aids him greatly in the usage of his telekinetic powers, with all attempted manipulations not involving gestures-such as the closing of an open surface-level cut on a friends calf-having ended in failure. Classification Index Beta. Biographical Index Sims was born in the heart of Philadelphia to a long line of doctors and general practitioners, the bloodlines of whom could be traced all the way back to the late middle ages, when the profession was still mired in superstition and misinformation. It is no surprise then, what with such a heavy history looming over the head of his younger self, that Craig eventually found himself following in the footsteps of his forefathers. Studying medicine as soon as he was able, before entering and exiting a local med school with a four year degree, moving on to complete a seven year residency in the area along with a couple of fellowships after that, and finally earning his licence to practice. From here Craig bounced around for a couple of years, moving from one hospital to the next, all while putting his skills as a general surgeon to good use. And, after a while, wound up in the emergency ward of Pennsylvania Hospital working alongside one of their many onsite trauma teams, the hospital's administrative staff having decided to hire him earlier than planned due to an unusually large influx of wounded patients. Effects of the Equinox Craig had just gotten home from his busiest shift at the ER yet when the Equinox started affecting various individuals around the world, all unbeknownst to him of course. Upon going to bed that night he had no dreams, but on awaking he might as well be living in one. Prying open his eyes in what he assumed was the beginning of the next day, Craig found every object in his house floating, as though suspended in midair by some unseen force. Rightfully weirded out by this he made to leave his residence, only to find the whole building hanging in a similar fashion and the ground too far away for him to simply jump to safety. As a matter of fact, had it not been for a rescue effort moving through the area to help people evacuate their homes-most of which were victims to the same oddities Craig was-he never would have made it out alive. For the moment the SAR helicopter pulled away from the structures cracked front steps, the entire thing slammed into the earth it had been lifted from with a defeaning crash and hail of debris. Since that day Sims has done his best to figure out what happened to the world and himself, though he has not let this quest for answers overshadow the importance of his career.
