While some mistake her demeanor as cold, almost uncaring in its endless wretches of apathy, others find it unnerving and perhaps some front put up to conceal the true self, whatever it may be. In truth, Kiara simply doesn’t enjoy placing attention to herself, least of all when it comes to being flashy in displays of grandiose or magic. Such limelight is for those more brash than she. After all, the fool speaks because he has to say something while the wise man speaks because he has something to say. Or so the saying goes.

Despite these preconceptions of her inner-nature-Kiara finds some amusement in what rumors can be spread about her behavior-she’s quick to assist her fellow classmates and peers. Regardless of the exterior front she may put up, there lies within a warmth and kindness that seeks to help others, regardless of herself. She just prefers to think she helps in small ways or in kinds that aren’t completely obvious at first. If anything else, she likes to think of herself as small help, unseen but certainly not unheard of. She’d much rather step into resolutions only if she has to, when power and actions will speak greater than any words.[/indent][/indent]
[sub][color=#0072bc][b]✪ H I S T O R Y[/b][/color][/sub][indent][indent]A child with no name and no background was how Kiara began her life. Although she couldn’t remember it from such an early age, she was told later that she was little more than a babe abandoned to the wind and rain and left upon the doorsteps of the Reinahrdt family estate. How and why was never answered, nor was it any concern for her. All that mattered was that she was taken in without question and treated just as much as their own bloodline. For as long as she could remember, she was Kiara Reinhardt and with it came a gift for mana.

Over the years, her potential for magic grew greater and greater as she became older, so much so that the Reinhardts insisted she be enrolled into a magical academy. Naturally they would settle for nothing short of the best and so Avalice was marked as a potential candidate. The only problem lay in the fact Kiara had no interest in enrolling or even learning better control over her own magic. For despite being taken in, there was still some yearning to discover her actual namesake. Thus, by choice or chance, it was discovered one of her bloodkin once enrolled into Avalice with the name of “Bastion” as their moniker; perhaps one of her parents.

Such knowledge was the final convincing argument for her to ultimately apply to Avalice, though only under negotiation she would take the Bastion name for herself. Through trial and effort, she eventually made it into Avalice, though only barely. With little control of her magic already, she was placed into the infamous Class C. Of course, that was fine enough for her. Even if it meant starting at the bottom, all that mattered to her was finding some closure to her origins, enrolling as a Reinhardt but graduating as a Bastion.

Strangely, no matter how much she studies the text, the tome acts like less of a spellbook and more of a conduit between her own magic and the outside world. More often than not, Kiara uses the tome as an item to both enhance her own spells and to regulate her mana as well.[/indent][/indent]
[sub][color=#0072bc][b]✪ M A G I C[/b][/color][/sub][indent][indent]Dynamic Magic: Energy[/indent][/indent]
[sub][color=#0072bc][b]✪ S P E L L S[/b][/color][/sub][indent][indent]✦ [b]Mystic Perception[/b]: By regulating the flow of mana through her eyes, Kiara can see the movement of energy and mana that pools and circulates through living things. Such a spell serves no real purpose aside from letting her perceive others' mana more clearly and densely than most as well as giving her an unnecessary light show for her eyes when need be. It does, however, make for good spying via seeing people's energy and mana flow under lowlight conditions.

✦ [b]Railgun[/b]: Gathering up mana into a singular point, Kiara will fire off the condensed energy as a single blast. From its usage, it seems the Volted Tome acts as a gathering point to help stabilize her mana before she fires the magic. Physically, it manifests as a bolt of single fire energy blasted at rapid speeds much akin to a single-shot firearm. Ironically, or perhaps unironically, Kiara fires her magic through her pointer finger and thumb held back like an actual firearm.

✦ [b]Schrade Shroud[/b]: Drawing in mana towards herself, Kiara can harness and then unleash a rampant surge of crackling electricity outwards with herself as the source and focal point. What results is a defensive spell that can not only shock any who seek harm towards her, but also act as an offensive tool for those who've breached her defense. The greatest defense is, after all, the greatest offense as well.[/indent]
[sub][color=#0072bc][b]✪ T E C H N I Q U E S[/b][/color][/sub][indent]
✦ [b]Self-Cast[/b]: Focusing her mana, Kiara can direct the flow of its energy inwards instead of outwards. As a result, her physical reactions and prowess are increased. So far, it's manifested as increased speed and agility, allowing her to dodge and react much quicker than usual when in use.[/indent][/indent]
