He stands at a foot and a half tall with a wingspan of four feet, he barely weighs four pounds. His feathers are all black, the only color that stands out on him is his eyes, which much unlike real crows, are a pale shade of blue. For sake of ease, when he isn't planning on flying, he keeps his longer wing-feathers tucked carefully in the sleeves of his cloak, or bound back from his hands so they aren't getting in his way when he is casting spells. The bindings are easy enough to break out of if he should need to fly suddenly. As a human, he stands roughly at six foot even with a slim yet toned figure. His hair is short and as black as his feathers, his eyes are the same pale blue as they are in his true form. Unsurprisingly his human form doesn't have any scars to be seen, as he doesn't actually have any in his true form either.[/indent] [color=#FFD801]◉ P E R S O N A L I T Y[/color] [indent]Aeh is very smart but unless you see him actually making potions, you'd have no idea. He has very little shame and isn't afraid to ask to be carried around when the journey is a long one. Has a good sense for 'good' people. Likes: Potions, herbs, people, brewing Loves: Learning, exploring, big comfortable beds Dislikes: People, his own dumbassery, flying long distances[/indent] [color=#FFD801]◉ B I O[/color] [Indent]Aeh was born and raised in the forests of Itura. Both his parents were alchemists and potion makers, and from a young age he was trained to be one as well. He took to his parents teachings with great determination and admiration for the craft. By the time he was a teenager he was able to easily identify and hunt down the valuable ingredients to make potions, tonics, and drinks. What couldn't be found in the forests, grown in the garden, or nearby was always traded for from the Elves or in the depths of the nearest city/town. It was even to the point that he had begun to craft and brew his own lesser versions of the more powerful things his parents crafted. Due to his parents work, Aeh wasn't limited to a simple home-life of wasting away in the kitchen or isolated to a life without adventure. His parents actively encouraged him to interact with their customers and he was always taken along when one parent had to leave the home to deliver an order or medicine outside of the forest. Because of this, he was exposed to many different walks of life and many different races of people. While he never really picked up on learning how to speak any different languages, he has a fantastic understand of many of them. But more importantly, this lead to Aeh's adventures into the teachings of magic from an Elf that they visited frequently. His teachings into magic were simple at best, utility over anything else. While he did have an obvious talent for much stronger, more dangerous magic, he never took an interest, favoring the easier quality of life spells. Despite all his freedom, Aeh turned out to be exactly as his parents were; homebodies. This lead to the unfortunate incident of him having to live through both of his parents passing on due to old age. They had decided to have him later in their lives, a bit too late even; his mother passed on first and his father shortly after, leaving Aeh effectively alone in the world. After he buried his parents and he was sure all of their long-time customers were informed of their passing -and that the shop was closing indefinitely-, Aeh gathered all he could carry before boarding up the entire house and leaving it under the care of a family friend who lived not too far away. From there, he left the forest and entered the city life with some struggle, to continue his learning of potion making and the alike. After several years of studying under a doctor- learning first hand how to make stronger healing potions and more about herbal medicines- he decided it was fine time to put his teachings to good use. Despite having minimal combat experience, Aeh is quite sure his knowledge can help someone out there. Monster hunting sure wasn't on his ideal list of 'helping someone out', but it struck a cord within him that it was the place he needed to be.[/indent] [color=#FFD801]◉ G E A R[/color] [indent]As a 'mage', Aeh doesn't really carry much on him, especially considering how small he usually is. He travels as light as possible, leaving him with only his cloak and his alchemy bag. His bag is filled with all sorts of things and carries everything he owns. [i][url=https://i.pinimg.com/564x/a9/0a/07/a90a07940f57083ae0df486995378714.jpg]Alchemy Bag[/url]:[/i] A decently sized bag of holding. Its amazing what Aeh can fit into the damn thing. At current, it carries a spare change of clothes, vials and bottles with stoppers, countless pouches and small bags of herbs and other ingredients, a couple of things of water, a shrunken (crow sized) pot along with a spoon, needle and thread, cloth for bandages, and his family tome of potion making. This isn't including the few vials he keeps on hand at any given time for emergencies; mostly healing tonics and 'sip' sized jars of poison. On the outside of the bag he carries his weapons, the short sword and rapier are strapped on the right of the bag while his bow is secured on the left. [i]Focus Ring:[/i] A simple misshapen ring. It has a small yet insanely sturdy crystal hanging off of it with a single metal hoop. The crystal itself isn't very pretty and is easily mistaken for a small chunk of metal with its gross looking color. But it works just fine for Aeh as a focus, allowing him to maintain his channeled magic and cast spells with a great deal of ease. While in human form, it acts as a simple ring on his left hand. But while in his true form, he keeps it around his neck like a necklace. [i]Throwing Bottles:[/i] Special bottles Aeh learned to make as a child. Instead of the typical glass many bottles are crafted with, Aeh learned to utilized his magic into making bottles out of wax-lined crystallized sugar and/or other substances. This allows for bottles that break a lot easier for faster administration of potions and poisons. [/indent] [color=#FFD801]◉ M A G I C[/color] [indent] Aeh knows several spells, but most of them are quality of life.[/indent] [hider=Daily Use][indent] [u][b]Daily Use[/b][/u] [i]Transformation:[/i] Aeh's most valued and used magic. This spell allows him to gain human form to perform 'simple' tasks that the larger races don't even have to think about. It is a magic he needs to remain semi-focused to use, so he cannot keep the form all the time. But usually he can hold his shape for quite a while. If he falls asleep or falls unconscious though, the spell immediately breaks and he returns to normal. This spell also, thankfully, works on his clothing and anything else he is 'wearing'. So his bag and all the items in it change in size to keep up with his body. [i]'Ghost Hands':[/i] A varied form of 'telekinesis'. Aeh cannot use this in his human shape. But while in his true form, he can use this to take small materials and shape them into other things, or to bring things to himself as long as they aren't too heavy. More often than not it is used in crafting Throwing Bottles, but in some instances it can be used to throw things further than he normally could or to assist with other small, mundane things. [i]Fire Starting:[/i] Basic to fire spells, Aeh can conjure flame at the tips of his hands. This is able to be used in either form but the amount of fire always seems to be the same amount regardless. [/indent][/hider] [hider=Uncommon Use] [indent] [u][b]Uncommon[/b][/u] [i]Slow Falling:[/i] A buff spell. When cast on someone else or something, whatever it is will now fall slower for an undetermined amount of time. The heavier something is the less effective this spell tends to be, but it can often save someone from at least splattering into goop on the ground. [i]Gust of Wind:[/i] Using the breeze or air currents, Aeh is able to cause a sudden gust of wind. While not seeming super useful, to anyone slow falling or flying, it definitely can help with staying in the air longer or getting a push in the right direction. [/indent][/hider] [color=#FFD801]◉ P O T I O N C R A F T I N G[/color] [indent]A master of his craft, Aeh knows how to brew all kinds of potions from his years and years of study and practice. Not only is he able to make healing tonics or soothing brews to restore energy, he knows of volatile acids and poisons. Within his family potions book, he has been continually improving and furthering his studies any chance he gets; he might even need to invest in a new book soon.[/indent] [hider=Potions][indent] [u][b]Potions[/b][/u] [i]Healing Potion:[/i] The typical healing potion. Heals broken bones, cures poisons, and other serious injuries. Grants full energy restoration! Unfortunately the added energy only lasts a short while before it dissipates, leaving the drinker exhausted afterwards. [i]Healing Potion 'Plus':[/i] An advanced healing potion. Carried strictly in 'Throwing Bottles'. Will heal bullet holes, minor magic afflictions, corrosive poisons, and other things that might otherwise kill you. It does not, however, grant any energy. In fact, it more often than not will render someone completely unconscious if they are nearly dead hen its used. For how long, it is entirely unknown. You might not die but you sure might not wake up either without further intervention. Good luck! [i]Potion of Sticky Weakness:[/i] A toxic liquid that can be used while wet or dry. It smells absolutely awful until it dries, at which point it looses its scent and becomes nearly clear. When it is dried, it turns into a very thin goo-like substance that is terribly sticky; it will stick to shoes, hair, trees, and anything it touches. The poison, if put on the skin, is easily absorbed. It will cause muscle weakness and intense joint pain until it runs its way through the body which can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, all depending on a creatures metabolism. Fortunately, this washes away very easily with a bit of water; Spit and sweat work just as well, but it requires at least a cup full to completely clear away. [i]'Potion' of Burning:[/i] A bottle filled with highly flammable liquid. Kept in a throwing bottle. Sometimes has a small 'spark starter' in the stopper to allow for a sudden rush of flame at a specific location. [/indent][/hider] [hider=Tonics] [indent][i]Tonic Of Cure:[/i] A simple tonic that cures typical poisons, like from bad mushrooms, berries, etc. Can slow the spread of stronger poisons, if not cure it completely. Also returns some energy for a short bit. Will make one slightly tired. [i]Tonic of The Hangover:[/i] A simple tonic that helps with terrible hangovers; the stopper of headaches and neck stiffness from sleeping awkwardly on the floor or in a corner somewhere. Very similar to the Tonic of Cure but with less of an after effect of being tired. Might make weaker folk sleepy, but hey, the headache is gone! [i]Tonic of Mending:[/i] A simple tonic that mends cuts and alleviates aches and other minor pains. Restores some energy but similar to healing potions, leaves the one using it to be a bit tired.[/indent] [/hider] [hider=Drinks] [indent] [i]Tea of Soothing:[/i] A very simple tea made with a fresh blend of herbs and other goodness. Good for a rough day when the body aches and the soul hurts. Has proven to be very rejuvenating, slowly restoring energy while it eases the ache of the day away. It doesn't restore a whole lot, but it helps. Best served warm, taste varies between slightly sweet or a bit bland. [i]Sips of Sleepiness:[/i] Rough day? Cant sleep? Or maybe its the middle of the day but being conscious just isn't working out? This is the exact thing you need. Just a small sip of this liquid will put a grown man on his ass for a few hours, if not days. Has no scent at all but tastes terribly bitter, best taken with a small meal. [i]Broth from Home:[/i] Cooked up along side other meals, this liquid is best served warm. Usually smells really good. It works in rejuvenating small cuts and scratches and can help fight off illness and other minor things; sadly it doesn't restore much energy, but it has been noted to help lift spirits and occasionally help people to sleep. [i]Tea, just good ol' fashioned tea:[/i] Your basic, every day tea made with good ingredients. Sometimes people don't need anything special, they just need a drink and some quiet time. [i]Brew of Spit:[/i] You've pissed Aeh off but for some reason still expect something because none of the mages can heal or don't have any energy left. You get a cup of spit mixed with some blades of grass or whatever else he can throw in there, it somehow looks drinkable, but you won't know it until you actually take a sip.
