Vivien Valis an analytical powerhouse. She is constantly synthesizing her experiences and can seem a little detached socially, despite the fact that she is usually talking through her brainstorms. She can be a very hard person to get to know, as one of her biggest flaws is that she prioritizes her work with H.E.R.O. before all else, and her research just after that - doesn't really give her much time for a social life. 

If you happen to break down those walls she is incredibly bright and idealistic. Vivien truly believes that learning from the past and teaching the current generation can help us forge a better future. Otherwise interactions with her tend to range from pleasant to informative. Occasionally she will come to a new conclusion or learn something new and rush to the next person to gush about it, whether they care or not. She does it with a smile on her face because she is passionate and does not intend to be as annoying as she can sometimes come off, especially to more standoffish individuals. She is definitely not the typical stoic academic. Though she keeps her inner self close to herself, she wears her enthusiasm on her sleeve. She's a bubbly optimistic person to have on your team, even though you might not have any idea what she is talking about.


[b]Backstory[/b]
Vivien had a pretty ordinary childhood. She was introverted and intellectual, but never bullied. Her power is what gave her a strong interest in history at a young age. She began reading historical non-fiction and biographies of major figures when she was 10. It was clear she was a bright student, so when the opportunity to go to university at the age of 15 appeared she took it without hesitation. By the time she was 22 she graduated with a Ph.D in History and began working on research into the impact of Superpowers on World Politics and Culture. This is how she first started working with H.E.R.O. Eventually she disclosed her own ability and registered as a Hero with the organization. She continues her research and assists with matters of Global Diplomacy.

Temporal Vision: Vivien can view Temporal Imprints on a location. To do this she must spend time in the location. There is typically a location where an imprint is the strongest and when she finds it she will enter a trance like state. In this state she observes a moment in time that either happened recently enough that the imprint hasn't faded or affected the time stream in a major way that it is fixed in place.
