Maggie is somewhat more cognizant of her actions than some of her peers, preferring to take her time to learn what she can about a given operation before the team act upon it in scenarios where possible. Some have called her a stickler, to which her response is often to just laugh lightly and agree, but to her doing her job [i]right[/i] is what helps Jen sleep at night.

Until the age of 16 Jennifer lived in Polzeath (Cornwall, England), working on her family farm. With her interests aligning more with her father's than her siblings he taught the girl how to shoot and maintain weapons; their use was mainly for culling ill or elderly members of their herds without causing excess pain but on occasion they were used for competitive rifle shooting between a girl and her old man. When the man passed away however, Jen's mother made the decision to emigrate to the States to be with her family in their time of grieving.

Fond memories of the police in her home town caught her attention and it soon became a career which she continued to pursue even on another landmass. It wasn't the dream she had pictured it to be however, at least in Ramsey. Too many corrupt or simply poorly performing officers on the streets had pulled the reputation of the RPD down, drudging it through the mud; it was officers on the ground that suffered mozt of the abuse though, and Jen had had enough. She still believed in the ethos which drove her to become an officer but the love for work on the ground had diminished as the years dragged. She needed an out from the public eye but wanted to still do some good for the community she lived it. She applied to a variety of departments to escape the dull duties of a patrol officer and was lucky enough to find her place in the city's SWAT team.
