A L B E R T A

AVALICE ACADEMY — CLASS C LECTURE HALL
Alberta was infuriated, but even more so confused. Who was this boy, and why was he getting himself involved? Who did he think he was? Though she had been made very aware of his grating presence when he had announced himself earlier, his name had gone through one of her ears and then out the other. She wasn't going to stoop so low as to remember the idiot's name. "Did your 'old man' ever tell you to shut up when two adults are talking?" she snapped back at Ty. "This doesn't concern you, kid." When another student walked in, then right in front of the ongoing barrage of insults, Alberta's increased confusion made her pause. She took a moment to think; the longer she let this escalate — or rather, the longer it took for her to get the last word in — the longer she would be stuck here in this hall. Alberta didn't want that, an hour and a few minutes in and she already couldn't stand these losers. Just magining what the rest of her year would look like was a migraine waiting to happen. She waved an apathetic hand to call the stupid row off. "You know what, whatever. Let's just get these introductions done and over with, my head might just implode if I have to be in the same room with this idiot kid any longer."
