Class: Saber True Name/Title: Kullervo, The Son of Evil Source: Finnish Folklore Alignment: Chaotic Evil Appearance: Short Bio/Synopsis: Even before Saber's birth his life was filled with tragedy. A petty rivalry between two brother magi, Untamo and Kalervo, escalated into open war between the brothers' tribes. Kalervo's tribe was massacred, save for a single pregnant woman, Kullervo's mother. Thus Kullervo was born into slavery and when he was just three months old he swore vengeance on Untamo and his tribe. Untamo failed on three different occasions to kill the child and eventually sold him to the blacksmith Ilmarinen. Kullervo's life from that point on was a constant stream of mishaps that usually ended in violence. Towards the end of his short life he had found his missing family who he had originally presumed dead. However, he had an uncontrollable desire to satiate the bengeance in his heart. So strong was this compulsion for wanton destruction that he didn't even mourn when he found out his family had been killed, only shedding a single tear for his mother. While on his warpath he prayed to the god Ukko and he was granted a magical talking sword that he turned on Untamo and his tribe, slaying every man, woman and child. Kullervo had finally taken his revenge, but his actions had left his family defenseless, making his campaign all for not. Stopping at a place where plants no longer grow, he asked his magical sword if it would take his life. The sword agreed as it did not care whether the blood it drank was innocent or guilty. Kullervo threw himself onto his own blade, ending his own pitiful existence. Despite his acts of cruelty, Kullervo's tragic tale was etched into the Throne of Heroes as a cautionary tale for parents who would abuse or neglect their children or else they would grow up to be as wicked as the Son of Evil.
Riding: (C) A Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. At this rank most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill. However, he cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.
Personal Skills:

Mana Burst (Lightning): (C) The increase in performance caused by infusing one's weapons and body with Magical Energy and instantly expelling it. Simply put, recreating the effect of a jet burst by expending large amounts of Magical Energy. Saber possesses a version that infuses his body and weapons with magical energy that has a lightning attribute. This skill is derived from his innate magical abilities that saved his life when he was a newborn as well as his connection to a thunder god, manifesting as excessive reserves of mana.
Single-Mindedness: (A) The ability to immerse oneself in something, exhibiting a superhuman degree of focus. Even when he regained the family he lost, Saber still pursued the goal of avenging their deaths. Actions taken towards the goal of slaying a single enemy become more effective at the cost of making Saber numb to stimuli outside of that single enemy. Detecting the presence of other nearby enemies becomes very difficult, damage from other enemy attacks goes unnoticed and fighting against two opponents at the same time is almost impossible.
Sadistic Constitution: (C) A Skill that augments one's aggression in battle. It appears to be a positive Skill, but the longer its owner stays in battle, the more their abusive disposition will grow, causing them to lose their usual composure. It's possible to say that this is just one step short of the Skill that causes Berserkers to go insane. The more one attacks, the stronger one becomes, but on the other hand, one's defensive abilities drop. Derived from Saber's final act of war, burning Untamo's village to the ground and leaving no survivors. His heinous goal achieved and with no family to return to, he turned his own abuse onto himself and fell on his own blade. His heart had been sealed away and he did not mourn their deaths. In this hardened state he prayed to the Finnish God of Thunder, Ukko, and was granted his awful tool for revenge. He was gifted a sentient sword that thirsted for the blood of the innocent and guilty alike. He turned this blade on his sworn enemies, crushing them under it's divine might, then turned the blade on himself. Saber's NP manifests as a hateful black sword. While it is perfectly sized and balanced for Saber's use it is "incomplete" and only constitutes the hilt of a much more devastating weapon. Contained within the weapon is humanity's conception of lightning during the Age of Gods. By invoking the sword's True Name and holding it aloft, Saber can call upon Divine Lightning and weaponise it as the Gods once did, uniting the hilt with the 'blade' as a pillar of electrical energy and summoning massive thunderstorms that will devastate the surrounding area with powerful lightning strikes. This pillar can be brought down upon groups within range and reduce them to mere ashes and dust. The sword also has a tertiary effect. It contains a facsimile of human sentience and capable of communication. The sword performs an approximation of humanity's own twisted nature and craves the taste of blood. However...
Misc/Other/Trivia: Kullervo has no desires for the Grail as his own goal in life had been accomplished and he has nothing else to live for. The summoned "Kullervo" is actually a puppet being manipulated by the desires of the Ukonvasara. After drinking the blood of Kullervo, the sword had Kullervo's personality imprinted on it. Although it was still a fake "intelligence" drinking the blood of one who was willing to feed it with their own blood instilled a concept of pity within the weapon. Since Kullervo is unwilling to act on his own, the talking sword has taken over his container and acts for him. He is resolute in his beliefs but is willing to hear what other people have to say and is not above changing his mind when presented with new information. He is confident, polite and flexible. History:Jackson Andrews is the head of the Andrews estate, an old American family who can track their history to before the Westward Expansion. The Andrews are considered one of the foundational magus families in America and virtually despised by European maguses. This all stems from a blood feud that started during Revolutionary War where The Andrews were one of the few magical families to side with the Americans. Their magical ancestry can be traced back to the Valais Witch Trials of the 15th century where their ancestors, the Anders, were targeted by the church under suspicion of witchcraft and lycanthropy. The suspicions were of course true as the Andrews have continued the tradition of coupling with phantasmal species well into the modern era. Jackson himself is a philanthropist, using his family's wealth in-service to those who need it. He grew up sheltered and privileged and feels the need to "pay" for his easy life. Growing up in modern America granted him a more contemporary education, even attending an American High School for a number of years. His knowledge of science and technology is far beyond that of most other Maguses and he is much more willing to adopt and use the conveniences brought about by modernity. Magic-wise it could be said he was 'homeschooled' and encouraged to explore other magical systems. In addition to European schools of magic he has studied magics native to America in order to get in touch with his bestial heritage. Quality of Magic Circuits:B Quantity of Magic Circuits:B Abnormal Abilities

General Magecraft: Has a good understanding of the basics but is otherwise not formally trained in this particular style of magecraft.
Elementalism: Fire and Water.
American Witchcraft: An older form of Magecraft with origins in Europe that became popular in the United States during the 17th C and lead to the the infamous Salem Witch Trials. American Witchcraft was founded by Elizabeth "Goody" Garlick in 1658. It derives a lot from European schools of Witchcraft but with a much greater emphasis on curses, which require the use of a material medium (ex: straw doll, lock of hair, etc.) that impose a magical restriction on an individual. This school is not tied to the Wiccan faith, who do not practice magecraft at all.
Navajo Spiritual Healing: A form of Shamanism that is one of the few forms of Magecraft not brought over to the New World but is instead holy native to the Americas. It was incorporated into the Crest during the rapid expansion into the West. Its main tenant is focused on reestablishing harmony within a body, as an imbalance or 'chaos' can manifest as illness or injury. It uses and requires knowledge in a vast array of plants, herbs, minerals and clays. Internally referred to as Diné Bahane', this school is rarely taught to those outside the Navajo culture so much is not known about its practices. It's primarily used for healing ailments and injury and the removal/redirection of curses. One of the more well-known "spells" of this school is the yee naaldlooshii ("by means of it, it goes on all fours") is not actually a part of the foundation proper but instead practised by an antithetical offshoot who go against the primary teachings. It is a form of "self-curse" that transfigures the user into an animal-like form for use in trickery or combat. English speakers typically refer to practitioners as "skin-walkers".
Lycanthropy: Typically members of his family would have a designated handler nearby to make sure if they tip over the edge into transformation they can be calmed-down and brought back from Ancestral Return, or if need be put out of their misery. Through use of Navajo Spiritual Healing Jackson has bypassed this limitation. Through great self-control he can induce near Ancestral Return, increasing his physical power, endurance and making his magical attacks more potent. By utilizing a special Mystic Code he can undergo complete Ancestral Return while still retaining a sense of reason and the capability to use magecraft.
Equipment

Pelt of a Wolf that died during a Solar Eclipse: According to Navajo beliefs a solar eclipse is a time of self-reflection and meditation. Wolves are an omen not for the dangers of nature but the dangers of humanity's own capacity to be monstrous. This Mystic Code is an ancient wolf pelt that was typically worn ceremonially. Jackson does care about these things. He purchased it from a reservation for an exorbitant price because it is an exceptionally rare Mystic Code that allows one to practice Diné Bahane' and transform into a 'mai-coh'. It is appropriate that 'mai-coh' can also mean witch.
Berchtold: An ancient axe-head marked with runes. Its original name has been lost so it was rechristened with the name of the ghostly spectre that leads the Wild Hunt. Activating the runes envelopes the axe-head in either ice or fire. A somatic command allows for axe-head shaped bolts of either ice or fire to be launched from the Mystic Code. The bolts travel quickly and their trajectory can be controlled after the fact. According to the Andrews the axe-head was forged by dwarves deep in the Earth.
The Cauldron of Ceridwen: An amplifier Mystic Code, it is an exceptionally old cauldron rumoured to have been used by the enchantress Crediwen with the intention of giving her son omnipotence. It was brought to the New World by a now dead magus family and later confiscated by the Puritans during the Salem Witch Trials. Recovered by Jackson himself, the cauldron allows for longe-range remote scrying and bolsters the range and potency of Witchcraft and potion brewing.
SIG516: A semi-automatic multi-caliber rifle that Jackson typically uses to hunt feral pigs.
Boon: Superior Mystic Code; his Wolf Pelt is an exceptionally rare mystic code. Since it is a Navajo taboo to eat or drink during a solar eclipse, one who is willing to hunt during one fully embodies the idea of a 'mai-coh' who uses the shamanic teachings for their own personal gain rather than the good of the community. It is an artifact that is as close as one can get to an unclaimed Noble Phantasm in America. Miscellaneous:Jackson is an outdoorsman and is comfortable using firearms. If need be he will resort to more modern solutions when dealing with foes.
