Ylva doenst really stand out from the crowd as nothing about her is extraordinary. She stands at a above average height of 5'9 and her weight of only 142lbs. She has sort of a wheat yellow colored blonde hair that reaches down to her back when down. Her eyes are a soft sky blue that almost resemble the ocean when in the correct light. There's a scar running along down her eye from where she was slashed by bandits as a child.

[u][color=khaki]ON DUTY:[/color][/u] When on Duty Ylva can always be seen taking her 100% seriously. There is never a single bone in her body for slacking off. Even during hand to hand training she doesn't pull her punches nor weight. Ylva wholeheartedly believes that there's no reason for doing anything if you aren't doing it with full power. This attitude of hers hasn't awarded many friends but she doesn't let that stop her from doing the job.

[u][color=khaki]Off Duty:[/color][/u] Off Duty Ylva isnt very much different. She may not take things as seriously and usually likes to enjoy her free time. But even still she works her body till exhaustion, trying her best to overcome flaws or weaknesses that may have occurred during training. From time to time she'll try and teach those who need help proper ways to do things. But even then her own teachings can be a bit... Backbreaking. Ylva isnt coldhearted in any way, shape, or form. But her serious nature tends to block out most of her feelings majority of the time.

At a young age Ylva was always different. Nothing too dramatic, but whenever she could find the time, she was found always doing some job with her father or other adults in her village. Whether it was herding, hunting, carpentry, and even the most basic of lawn care. But her favorite thing was to watch her parents and older siblings run a trader stall within the towns market. Which was usually filled people from every corner of within the walls. They would sell a variety of things from food, jewelry, and even hunting weapons. Ylva lived a somewhat normal life for the most part and she loved every bit of it. 

At some point when Ylva was at the age of 12 her village was thrown into panic. Children would go missing and return days later in some bizarre way. One child was found drowned without a tongue in a river near the town, another child who Ylva played with everyday was sent back on a horse with only a head on the saddle. A total of 6 children would go missing and turn up in mysterious ways before Ylva decided to take matters into her own hands. So for 3 days straight Ylva would sneak away from her village and into the woods thats the kids usually played in with a spear in hand. By the end of the third day she was tired of waiting and decided to let the adults handle it. That was her plan at least until everything around her went black.

Ylva had no recollection of the events that took place soon after but, she does know that she woke up in her own house surrounded by her family. From the story her eldest brother told her, she was being held for 2 days unconscious and was probably going to be sold into slavery or worse. But luckily the soldiers who guard the village were able to find the place Ylva was being kept and rescued her. They were also able to also capture the bandits to ensure the full on safety of the village. It was at that point at the simple age of 12 Ylva promised to herself that she'd also become a soldier. The best soldier ever! And protect those around her from bandits to titans. 

For years Ylvas family mainly her mother tried to convince Ylva of changing her mind. Yet that never happened sot hey both came to a compromise. The day Ylva turned 18 and decided to leave home is the day she could decide to go off and enlist. 5 years later when Ylva had finally turned 18 was probably described as the best time of her life. She made he goodbyes with her family and promised to do her best not just for them but all of humanity. She boarded a cart and waved one last time to her family before setting off towards her new life.
