Caslan is the epitome of [color=6373D8]caring[/color] and [color=6373D8]selfless[/color]. Some may not see these things as a strength, but he certainly does. He will always do his best to do right by the people he cares for and those he serves. He strives to do his very best at absolutely everything when he knows others are watching him.

Having started his training at a young age, Caslan is a [color=6373D8]skilled martial artist[/color]. His abilities earned him a place among the royal guard, though not in a high enough position that anyone should know his name. He is incredibly [color=6373D8]physically strong[/color] and employs a bo staff most efficiently of any other weapon. His style of fighting is very [color=6373D8]blunt[/color], as his size makes it difficult for him to be terribly agile.

Perhaps his greatest strength is his ability to switch off his emotions, rendering him incredibly [color=6373D8]intimidating[/color]. It's not something he likes to do, but Caslan certainly understands that some situations call for it. He has been used more than once for window dressing, made to accompany a party simply to stand there and look large, dissuading anyone from trying their luck.

It's a wonder he has yet to be stripped of that title.

Caslan has a weakness for [color=6373D8]physical attraction[/color]. He is extremely flirtatious and often finds himself giving in to his urges, despite knowing he probably shouldn't. Few things matter to him in this realm. All he cares about is whether or not he is attracted to an individual. It can certainly get in the way of his work at times.

When it comes to his younger sister [color=6373D8]Sindia[/color], he is extremely overprotective. They've both been through so much already in their lives. Caslan can't stand the thought of his sister experiencing more heartache. She is the most important person in his life and the only one he shares his heart with. She is the only one he can trust.

Caslan is a sight to behold. He is big and imposing, having filled out in his later teenage years. The training he underwent made his muscles hard and seemingly carved from stone. His dark brown eyes and sun kissed skin contrast his stark white hair, a trademark of his family.

Caslan doesn't remember his parents. His mother died giving birth to his younger sister Sindia, and his father left shortly after in a fit of heartbreak induced insanity. With their absence, Caslan and his sister were left in the care of their maternal grandfather, and Caslan's namesake. Once a caring man, the loss of his daughter and only child turned him bitter and cold. He blamed Sindia for his loss, despite her being only a child. The older they grew, the worse it became. One step out of line would be answered with mental and physical abuse. Sindia was worthless, Caslan was useless, and neither of them was fit to have the family name.

Caslan did his best to protect Sindia. Even at a young age he tried desperately to keep her innocent of the horrors that their grandfather wished to inflict. Unfortunately, he was too small, too weak. He couldn't truly do anything to the brute of a man he had been named for. And so they endured him until Caslan was 12, when the old man passed in the night. Simultaneously Caslan was free of his tyranny and thrust into the seat of the Fang family. Many distant relatives attempted from the day of the funeral to refute Caslan's claim to the title and estate, but none succeeded in anything more than pushing him away from the concept of family as a whole.

In an effort to better protect himself and his sister, Caslan put more emphasis on his basic martial arts training. He wanted to know all he could that might keep them safe. He found that he had a knack for fighting and gave himself over to the life of guarding Hua'mu from all that might threaten it. When he suddenly grew into a pillar of a man, he was placed as security in the palace itself, where he has served ever since.
