Name\Title: Alba Rozenkalt, "The Frozen Flower" Appearance: Short Bio/Synopsis: A mysterious magus family based primarily in Greenland, the Rozenkalt have long been seen as a reclusive clan of aristocrats. They maintain cordial relations with the Clock Tower, and have made substantial contributions to various fields of magical research over the centuries. However, despite their connections with the Mage Association, they refuse to become a part of it, maintaining a quiet and reclusive existence in a frigid corner of the world. But this surface impression is a lie. In fact, there is no Rozenkalt family, only a single individual who has sustained herself for an incalculably long amount of time. At some point in the past, Alba discovered how to transfer her soul into the body of a Homunculus, and for generation upon generation has passed down her memories, mind, and magic circuits into specially-crafted vessels. However, this process is imperfect: with each transfer Alba loses a fragment of her memory and personality, becoming a little less 'her' and regressing towards a blank slate. She has burned through so many Homunculi by now that she no longer remembers what her original name was, where she came from, or even how old she really is. Her current personality resembles a machine than a person, with only occasional fragments of her former self slipping through. Deep inside, she is terrified by the idea of fading away completely and becoming a thing without any humanity or identity of its own. The rumors of the Grail and the Heaven's Feel magic are perhaps her final, desperate hope of somehow saving her own pathetic existence; she will stop at nothing to obtain them. Magecraft: Due to her degradation, Alba is massively weaker than she once was, but even so she is a mage older than the majority of Caster-class Heroic Spirits, making her an absolute monster by modern standards. Though specializing in the Flowing and Transferring of Power, she possesses vast knowledge across multiple fields of Magecraft. Her elemental affinity, so far as she is aware, is Water. Alchemy: Acceleration and partition of thought, creation of homunculi. In her case, she spurns the mass-production of Homunculus servants in favor of carefully designing a single body for herself each generation, with the capability of hosting her own formidable Magic Circuits. Material Transmutation: Alteration and reinforcement of objects. Generally used to reinforce her physical body, or alter/manipulate component elements while crafting familiars or Mystic Codes. Kabbalah: Discernment of the Root from holy scriptures. Her primary source of long-range firepower, she uses this in combination with High-Speed Incantation to call down lightning upon any enemy she can pinpoint. She also possesses knowledge in Golemancy, and is capable of crafting powerful and varied Familiars with the right materials, though nothing that could challenge a Servant. Flowing and Transferring of Power: Includes temporary distribution of consciousness across Familiars and Golems, creation of Mystic Codes, healing magecraft, and full transference of consciousness into a carefully prepared vessel. This is where she shines best: she can regenerate her own body in seconds from the verge of death, and simultaneously control dozens of familiars at once if otherwise unoccupied. Though she doesn't have much expertise beyond the average magus in fields not listed here, her breadth of knowledge is such that she can identify virtually any form of magecraft on sight, excepting those that have been deliberately concealed from the world since their inception. Mystic Codes: She's no slacker in this department either. Ivory Blades: Knives and speartips carved from ivory by various cultures, including the Norse, the Inuit, and the ancient Chinese. In addition to making good stabbing or cutting weapons, Alba has imbued them with various spells and effects over the ages, which are generally triggered via specific conditions. Though none of these are exceptional Mystic Codes on their own, she possesses over a hundred, and will deploy powerful centuries-old spells with abandon if it comes to it. Due to their nature, most of these involve Ice-based magecraft, such as freezing the blood of a target who has been cut or unleashing a blizzard when thrown. Skin of ???: A uniform-type Mystic Code created from the skin of a Phantasmal whose name has long been forgotten by both human memory and Alba herself. It has changed form many times over the years, and even she is unsure of its exact properties, but mainly it confers a high resistance to Fire-element magecraft. Misc/Other/Trivia: - Has changed her name many times over the years, though her 'family' is somewhat known in the world of Magecraft due to their age. - Though she comes across as emotionless a lot of the time, she does seem to have a haughty side, and will take offense at being treated with disrespect. Strangely enough, moments like this where her original personality shines through tend to disrupt her train of thought and even her magecraft when they occur. Special Boon: If it wasn't clear already, it's Superior Magical Skills. That said, this extends beyond just her wide mastery of modern Magecraft. Back in her prime, 'Alba' was once a mage powerful enough to rival Caster-class servants with her skill (indeed, she could likely have become one had she chosen to make a name for herself and perish rather than hiding away and persisting). Her true Elemental Affinity is in fact Fire, though with her successive resurrections this has been altered by the degradation of her soul and Magical Circuits. In rare moments of lucidity in which fragments of her old self manage to fully surface, she may temporarily become able to use her original magecraft on the level it was during the Age of Gods. However, this is not a simple boost in power: achieving this state requires her personality to fluctuate vastly from its current state, and as such her goals and reasoning during such an episode may be completely different from what they would normally be.
