The gentle aroma of tea filled the precinct's break room as Jennifer brewed herself another pot. As she waited for the leaves to stew she sipped from the previous cup she had made. She skimmed through the report she had typed up one more time before turning it in, each page crying out softly as she turned to the next. Drawing in a deep breath of the infused air she discarded the papers momentarily, pouring out the drink and adding two sugar cubes. As she began to raise the cup to her mouth however an officer at the door caught her attention. He sighned through the doors glass that her phone was ringing. Carrying both her mug and report out into the main office area Jen read the caller ID on her phone, cursing quietly. "Typical" she whispered, taking a large mouthful of the scolding drink before picking it up. "Officer Roberts speaking". The briefing was simple enough, Jennifer nodded along in silent acknowledge as Rodriguez spoke, almost disappointed at how little information they had going in. It put her in a sense on unease, but sometimes such situations couldn't be helped. "So we have 4 gun men and at least 3 civilian hostages, one guaranteed casualty already" she muttered aloud to herself as she double checked the fastenings on her chest rig. As she loaded both of her firearms she sent a reproachful glance in D-Day's direction, noticing out of the corner of her eye how eagerly he gripped his shotgun for a scenario filled with hostages. Maggie caught her tongue however, and just prayed that his only plan for the weapon was as a breaching tool.
