Takeshi rolled his eyes, ignoring Choi's and Kai's taunts as he stared down the corridor intently. He knew he heard something, it sounded like an explosion. There was no Ki to detect, so did that mean it had been mechanical? If part of the ship was now ruined then they were effectively marooned and sitting ducks for the military, hardly ideal. Maybe if they could find out what had happened they could fix it before anything bad came of it. "It came from down this way... It sounded pretty far off..." Possibly at the other end of the ship, a big reason to be worried then. The hangar was off in that direction, potentially close to whatever blast that was. Had the soldiers found everyone sitting there? Taking off down the hall in a quick jog he tried to strain his ears above the sound of their footfalls, hoping to pick up another sound to tip off where it may have been. If there was no Ki signature then maybe it was the soldiers, and perhaps they had found the monster. If they did one another in then all the better, less work for them. Anything less than that was going to cause problems for him. "Are you guys picking any energy up? Anything abnormal?" Takeshi asked, glancing back over his shoulder. "Nothing man, only ours," Kabocha replied frowning as he hurried along behind the Prince. He had been the only one to hear this sound apparently, so it was a little iffy whether or not this was an actual thing. Takeshi well could have heard things and be chasing ghosts, meaning this whole endeavor was a huge waste. Even if that was the case at least they were doing something now, walking around aimlessly got tiresome really quickly. Yumi nodded her head with a smile, fully agreeing with Daiko on the matter. She hadn't put a ton of thought into how everyone was handling the changes up until now, and it definitely had to be fairly overwhelming. New worlds, abandoning the life you had known, these were hardly small phases they were going through. To her it seemed all the more reason to try and be close with Choi, to try and help him through this. She couldn't say for certain, but Yumi felt she could do a better job supporting him if she were his... Girlfriend. Not so long ago the very thought of calling a Saiyan other than her friends anything but an enemy would have been totally farfetched. Now here she was, preparing to ask one of them out. She really was out of sorts if this was how she was going to behaving now. It had to be something to do with her changes, it made her soft or something ridiculous like that. If that was really the truth of it then why was she not really appalled by her feelings? Standing up from her spot she folded her hands behind her back, smiling at Daiko politely and giving a small bow. "Thank you for the talk sir, I appreciate it." Yumi said, her cheeks still a faint rose color. "I'll try not to frighten him when I ask, but I definitely feel like he should hear it. Better or worse it's going to have to come out some time." The monster just couldn't win for the life of it right now. Its ambush had failed and it quickly found itself helpless, being tossed about in the air like a toy. Trying to attack the Saiyan as it was in the air it was quickly knocked away, rather hard at that. Hurtling back down towards the floor it twisted its body, eyes locking on Viral as he prepared to swing with his cleaver at the helpless creature. The blade was very sharp, it already knew that and had the wounds to prove it. Taking a cut head on then would spell the death of it, there was no way that could happen. In an act of desperation it opened up its mouth, gathering a bit of energy as quickly as it could. Rather than fire at its assailant the monster shot at the far wall, doing so in a beam rather than a singular projectile like before. The force of the attack propelled it backwards, though not nearly enough to completely avoid damage. The cleaver still would hit the beast, rather than tearing it asunder ripping through one of the smaller hind legs, severing it entirely. Shrieking in pain it tumbled to the ground, rolling a fair bit before ending up on its side. The leg would land on the ground with a soft splat sound, surprisingly with no bodily fluids coming out. Instead it began to sizzle, and gradually melt away into a purple smoke. "What in the hell? What is this thing...?" Vegeta mumbled, watching the leg in awe. Nothing in this universe did that, to the best of his knowledge. Everything bled, especially when a limb was severed. The only thing that wouldn't was a machine, and since this thing displayed hunger it was most certainly not a robot. That defied everything he knew then and made this foe rather curious. The scientist in him wanted to figure out what was going on, but the reality of the situation was they had to be rid of this thing as soon as possible, it was too dangerous. Spotting the beast struggling to its remaining feet he gritted his teeth, frustrated he couldn't simply blast it away. "Viral, it's getting back up!"
