Name: Mellisa "Mellie" Kapernick Age: 26 years Appearance: Subject is measured at 5'6 (167cm), and a weight of 186lbs (84.4kg) post genetic modifications. Subject is of Indigenous Australian and Irish descent. Hair is typically coiled and dark brown, however it was observed to be spotted with blond patches following the modification. Skin was also observed to loose pigment in 'freckles' on her face, neck, arms, back, legs, and stomach. Eyes are a hazel color, however glasses are needed. Background Check:Previously a shopkeep in Brisbane, Australia. Fired for being too outspoken and ranting to the customers. Following this dismissal, she became a known speaker at local underground rebellious bars. One such bar was raided, she had gotten away but some of her friends weren't so lucky. Left the country to go into hiding, travelling to Norway, to 'a place where no one would ever think of! They'd think I froze to death out here!' (her words.) She once again sought out places of rebellion, and found us by following a researcher. She took the offer as soon as she heard she would be granted freedom from the Federation. Personality:Typically subject is typically kind-hearted ('heart of gold with a scratch' in her words.) Willing to do anything for anyone who isn't in some role of power in the Federation. However her temper is extremely volitile, being quick to anger and violence. This aspect of her personality seems to have dulled since the modifications. While she is quick to fight anyone who threatens her or people close to her, she is extremely self-sacrificial. In the past she told us she even went as far as risking her life to evacuate people caught in the fire of the bar raid previously mentioned. She shows that she has little to no self-preservation in fights. Genetic Modification:Rhincodon typus 'Whale Shark' Personality After Modification:Near the same as previously. Only changes noticed is that subject is slower to jump to hostility and violence, which is seen as a positive side effect by staff. Subject has also developed more curiosity than before. Abilities:Subject does not have to directly feed on solid food, rather she can be fully sustained by water with nutrients. plankton, and nektonic life.. Subject is able to use echolocation to determine the distance of something and communicate with other whale sharks. With the ability to communicate with them she can solve simple problems with them (ex. finding items, structures, people, and confusing opponents by having the whale sharks distract them.) Subject can also raise her voice much louder due to the combination of normal vocalization and echolocation. Side Effects:Subject suffered a decrease in agility. Subject also showed increase in teeth. These teeth can be used to attack but are more of a nuisance to brush. These teeth are smaller than the average human adult's teeth but still resemble the animal counterpart's. Teeth also hinder the ability to eat regular solid food, with bits of food getting stuck between the teeth and roof of mouth, this development has caused subject to complain more (severe side effect as reported by site staff.) Subject developed a peculiar case of vitiligo, in which spots, or 'freckles' of lost pigment show up on her body. These spots appear as 'freckles' on her face, larger spots of the entirety of her back, and acorn sized patches of her arms and legs. Pale spots the size of golf balls also show on the subjects hair, causing them to show as blond. As said before, subject now requires glasses or contacts to be able to see properly. Subject noticed a fast decrease in eyesight, making her severely nearsighted, this is rare in whale sharks however. It is assumed that her eyesight was already decreasing and the newfound use of echolocation sped up the process. Due to the use of echolocation, subjects voice can be raised at such a high decible that people can go deaf without proper ear protection. Likes:Fond of mystery novels, dogs, chocolate, peaches, seafood, large pillowy bedding, large flowing clothes, large ammounts of colors and items in a space, and the moon. Dislikes:Maths, extreme colds, minimalism, olives, and unseasoned food. Extra:Under no circumstances whatsoever subject is not allowed access of opera music or radio while in the facility. Let Dr. Hamm be the last one to lose their hearing. Able to deal with high heat temperature due to Australian background.
