Storm clouds tend to hover when she's in a bad mood - something she can't control, and doesn't know how to. Salem can cause blackouts, electronics to spazz out, shoot bolts of electricity from her hands, etc. The color of her electricity is blue. No one knows why.

[color=6ecff6][b]P e r s o n a l i t y:[/b][/color] Salem is what is considered to be a fearless leader. The kind of woman who can look death in the eye and not flinch. This is the first impression that most people get, but in reality - there is much more to her. 

From an early age, Salem was raised to be a leader - nothing more, nothing less. This has stuck with her. She makes the hardest decisions, and seems to do it with ease. Like her father, Salem is proud and takes pride in what she does. And, like her mother, can have a short temperament at times. However, despite her similarities with the her parents, Salem is a little more reserved than they are. While very friendly with the ones she's close to, those who don't know her well tend to think she's emotionless. 

However, Salem is a girl with a witty comeback for just about anything. If it comes off rude, well, you'll just have to decipher if it truly is or not. The young woman is also very head strong and independent, always believing that she knows what is best for herself and others. She hates to be seen as a damsel in distress and will always try to handle things on her own. Despite her temper - which sometimes does get out of hand - she is calm, cool, and calculated. Mess with the people she cares for (aka, the Guild) and expect some for of well calculated revenge coming your way. 

[color=6ecff6][b]H i s t o r y // B i o:[/b][/color] Salem was born and raised in Atlanta until the age of five. That was when her parents decided to pack up and move to New York, as to be closer to the Guild. Salem was a smart child, and knew that her parents were well connected, her father always having hushed meetings in the other room. However, what she didn't know was what these connections or meetings were. When they arrived in New York, Salem was told about her heritage. Her name held power, the de Silva line being one of the strongest to date. Many of her ancestors had been Leaders of the Guild, and held other ranks of power within the allegiance. Just like any other child, she would go to school and learn. When she came home, her father trained her to fight in the families basement, while her mother told her bedtime stories of their people. Her home life was like that of any other child - minus the magical ability and teachings. 

Her father was a lawyer, her mother a doctor. Together they were two of the Guilds biggest contributors. Her mother was a Captain, and her father second in command. Her grandfather was the Leader of the Guild (he also helped train her). She was a recruit of the guild at the age of thirteen - the same age where her grandfather died and her father rose to power.  Salem became a member of the Guild at fifteen. The Guild taught Salem to be proud of who she was, but to be kind to those who did not have special abilities or marks such as she. 

It is clear to most people in the Guild that Salem will be the next Primus Magi. The Elders watch and keep a close eye on her and her behavior, testing her in different ways ever so often. Their latest test? Become part of the team sent to handle the situation in Japan.

[*][i]Weapons Training:[/i] Salem knows nearly everything about guns. She's an excellent marksman.
[*][i]Languages:[/i] Salem is fluent in Spanish, French, Russian, German, and Mandarin. She also knows ASL. 
[*][i]Perception:[/i] The young woman often notices things where others do not. Salem notices and reads into things like body language and tone (perhaps a little to much).

[*][i]Stamina and Speed:[/i] Salem has spent a lot of time in the gym, and keeps a normal exercise routine. This has lead to her being able to run fairly quickly for long periods of time, and not tire as quickly as her opponents. Of course she's human and had her breaking points, just like everyone else.
