Name:Link Game Origin: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Appearance: Personality: Link is a hero of classic stock, a nearly fearless defender of justice always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. It's such a baked in part of his character that even with no memory he still heeds the call to adventure against impossible odds simply because a princess was in danger, but he doesn't rush it. He takes adventure at his own pace, exploring side areas or climbing mountains just because they're there and more often than not yield prizes to help him on his way. He prefers fighting the same way, taking stock of his enemies and what he can use to turn the encounter in his favor if there's no urgent need to get involved. He's a very pragmatic fighter, some would say bordering on sneaky or underhanded. As a person Link can come across as unburdened, but as parts of his memory returned and he learned more of his champion comrades he began to harbor a deep guilt over his failure to protect Hyrule 100 years ago. Background: Link knows very little about his past. What he does know he's pieced together through a smattering of memories he recovered during his adventure and notes found in various diaries. He hails from a noble lineage, his father and forefathers all being renowned Hyrule Knights. Even among this group he was prodigious, capable of besting grown adults in swordsmanship when he was still just a child. It was perhaps this reason why he was chosen as the Hylian Champion, personal Knight of Princess Zelda, as the kingdom began to prepare to face the return of Calamity Ganon. This preparation entailed a massive archaeological of ancient Sheikah technology, including the Guardians and the four Divine Beasts. Each beast was piloted by a Champion, chosen from the other races of Hyrule, and together it was hoped that they use their power to defeat Ganon the moment he awakened. Unfortunately, they failed. Despite all their preparations Ganon undermined them by taking control of the guardians themselves and sending shards of his malice to kill the champions and take control of their Divine Beasts. Only Link and Zelda escaped that night, Link personally slaying many Guardians and sustaining grievous wounds while doing so. On the verge of death, Zelda had her servants carry Link to the Shrine of Resurrection while she remained behind to seal Ganon until such a time that they could defeat him. 100 years passed, and Link re-awoke. With no memory and his abilities greatly diminished he emerged from the Shrine into a broken Hyrule and was immediately set on the path to defeating Ganon, who had been trapped in Hyrule castle by Zelda's sealing power. He all traveled across Hyrule. He slew monsters large and small, freed a corrupted dragon, tested his brain and might against all manner of Shiekah tests, helped build an entire town, brought low the leader of the evil Yiga Clan, defeated the Blights Ganon had sent to the Divine Beasts, freed the souls of his champion comrades, tamed and road his own Divine Beast, recovered and reinvigorated the legendary Master Sword, and won the single biggest game of hide and seek in the history of Hyrule. Suffice it to say, when he finally stormed Hyrule castle he was ready for anything. In a battle that took all the way to the highest level of the castle, down into it's deepest basement, and out into the Hyrule field Link put an end to the Calamity that had plagued Hyrule for a century. Hyrule was free. Zelda was free. He was free. They set about the daunting task of rebuilding the Kingdom they'd lost, together. At least they were, until Link received a letter bearing a curious seal. Though unfamiliar, it seemed incredibly important. He set off once again, promising to return shortly, as the letter lead him down twisting paths and uncharted trails to the very edge of the world and beyond. He was a bit hazy on how exactly he ended up on the cliff, facing down an army of disembodied hands, but events got even hazier once the light being appeared and unleashed its attack. Specialty: Jack-of-all-trades Level: 1 Experience: 0/10 Powers:

Charge Attack: Link can take a moment to charge up any melee weapon for a stronger attack, either a single powerful spin, a rapid mutil-hit series of thrusts, or a continuous spin with a heavy weapon.
Strengths:

Weapons Master: Link is skilled in the use of a wide variety of weapons, both real and improvised. Swords, spears, bow, boomerang, pichforks, tree branches, throwing knives, rocks, bombs, pot ladles, shovels, arms. If you can pick it up and hit someone with it chances are Link can find a way to break it over your face.
Climber: Link can climb anything that not wet or smooth. If Link can get a grip it can be climbed.
Feast of the Wild: In his time in the Wild Link discovered a remarkable talent for both finding and preparing both food and brews out of whatever he managed to gather. The food he cooks can have various helpful effects depending on the ingredients he uses.
Weaknesses:

Can't Dive: Link can tread water, and even swim, but despite spending a significant portion of his childhood with the Zora he never managed to figure out swimming underwater.
Lack of Stamina: Maybe the methodical pace he takes is just because he tends to get tired if he goes about things too fast. He can run and fight well enough, but sprinting for any length of time depletes his pool of stamina very quickly.
Weapon Breaker: This might legitimately be a curse. Maybe he doesn't know his own strength, but Link seems to go through equipment like crazy. Shields, bows, weapons, it doesn't matter, they have a nasty tendency to explode into nothingness after he uses them for a while. Weapons that blow up like this at least deliver a harder hit, but he really needs something explicitly unbreakable.
Equipment Dependent: Link isn't the kind of guy who'd do well in a fist fight and all of his Special moves are depended on having his Sheikah Slate except one, which requires him to have a weapon.
Spirits:

Kindred Spirits:

Naija: An amnesiac, Zora like girl that explores the world deep beneath the waves. Add in a destroyed kingdom and she'd be all of his regrets rolled into one person.
Robin Hood: An archer known as the Green Man, specializing in traps, poison, and ambushes who secretly longs to fight at least one fair fight and become a "real" hero. Seems like they could both teach the other a thing or two.
Princess Zelda: He promised he'd meet up with her again. He hadn't expected to meet her on the cliff. Apparently there's more than one running around? Though the map is unusable without some kind of data update and the powers have been rendered inoperable, it still functions as a place to store items and equipment. Though, for some reason, it only stores 8 weapons, 5 bows, and 4 shields.
