Yea, there are people I miss. Though one has to be careful about reminiscing about the "good ol' times." Yes, people you really connect with aren't easy to find, but that's why you need to keep an open mind and be willing to mingle with strangers. If you're constantly getting acquainted with new people, you'll have something to fill the gap with when your old favorites leave. Kind of reminds me when my brother made a forum "to keep the bad role players out." Thing is, he didn't exactly write the book on good writing. I'm not even sure if I'd call him a decent writer. Every RP was just the same 4-5 friends. You kind of knew where everyone was going with their characters. There were seldom any surprises, since I knew everyone's interests and I had been RPing with them for about 7 years. Some of the roleplays were great, others not so great. But if you like the people you're working with that doesn't seem to matter as much. Point is, you met your favorite RPers during a chance encounter.
