"You tease me Maeve…" Alexander said as he kept his eyes forward while wearing a smile. He found her words to be playful jests, but also a faraway fantasy he could possibly enjoy. "And I don't think any woman is prepared to become one of his brides." Alexander only let loose a chuckle, leaving the statement afloat and mysterious.

Bzzzt! Bzzzt! Bzzzt!

Alexander grabbed his phone and answered immediately. His smile faded away just as quickly.

"I assume you're calling because there's a problem with the Rolls Royce."

"No, that's being handled right now." Sasha, the female vampire that had been tasked with cleaning the paint off of the windshield answered Alexander while watching another put a wet mop to the paint on the windshield. She winced a bit as her companion committed what might be an unspoken crime towards the luxury vehicle. "There's a lot of commotion coming from the exhibition. From what I heard when we went in to grab cleaning supplies, the exhibit-"

"It's fine, Sasha." Alexander hung up and returned his phone to his pocket. There was nothing more he needed to hear. The wasted preparation was a thorn in his side, but at least he didn't have to personally kill Demetri and Charles. A sigh escaped him before a smirk formed across his lips. He looked at Maeve from the corner of his eye. "Apparently the exhibition ended poorly. Did you happen to have a hand in this Ms. Brannigan?"

As Finn tossed the dead vampire aside like a ragdoll, he noticed how the redhead girl sprinted away. She was much faster then he had imagined. About as fast as people would attribute to vampires and yet she did not smell like one. In fact her oder was rather pleasant. But her speed concerned the wolf. She clearly was not a vampire, she was something else. Finn had heard rumors of hunters that gained crazy abilities through scientific experiments. If she indeed was a hunter then sooner or later, the young wolf might end up on her ‘to do’ list.

As the chaos of bloodshed continued he noticed how the kid climbed on his back. This wasn’t exactly what he’d had in mind when he told her to stay close to him. From the corner of his eyes he noticed the super soaker and the other gun in her hand. Finn could only hope that they were toy guns but since the little kid was some fearless acquaintance of the redhead hunter, he feared that the little runt was a hunter as well.

As the large wolf made his way to his next victim, the sound of gunfire filled the air. Another vampire bited the dust and yet it was not a shot fired from the kid. Another man was firing a weapon that seemed to be far more effective on vampires than what you could buy in the store. Another hunter? I’m so screwed! Thought the young wolf to himself as he feared that the hunters would gang up on him once they had finished off the vampires.

However much time to think didn’t Finn have as another vampire attacked him with a chair leg. The attack didn’t hurt. Quickly the wolf grabbed the assailant with his claws and ripped his head clean off, tossing the remains aside.

“Quick, shoot that damn wolf!” Shouted one of the vampires.

As Finn turned around to face the danger, he stared down at the shiny silver-gray muzzle of a .500 smith & Wesson.

Angel could not even say she was surprised when she watched Remy climb onto the back of the wolf. A surge of fear went through her but the wolf did nothing to hurt her so it quickly eased up. She sighed and decided it would be safer for Remy to be on an intimidating werewolf rather than running around this chaos. Sudden warmth caressed her skin and she whirled to watch fireballs zoom through the air as if to confirm her thoughts. This is actually insane. When had it turned into a supernatural zoo? Angel had no idea where all these freakshows were coming from but she had to admit if they all had a common enemy, she was glad they were here.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

She decided to take a quick assessment of the room to see what she was dealing with. The fedora-hat man was apparently a hunter, which was strange as she usually recognized most of them in town. Angel guessed he was apart of the Holy Saviors or some other off-brand knock-off hunter group. There was no need to assess him for more than a few seconds. Then she found the source of the fireballs. "What the fuck?"Angel uttered out loud without realizing it, making a few heads turn as they were running for the exit.

The dark-haired pyromaniac was the spitting image of the woman in the painting that she had glanced at while doing her rounds around the exhibit. It had been gaining quite a cult following, gathering the biggest crowd. There was no dispute. This was the same woman. If that was the case, then this girl had escaped somehow. This meant she could possibly know the way back. She was about to make her way over when she heard someone yell.

“Quick, shoot that damn wolf!”

The "damn wolf" the speaker was referring to was the one holding a certain Remy on his back so Angel ignored her impulse to run to the dark-haired woman immediately and first rammed herself into the gun-wielding vampire who she discovered as a vampire. Though she certainly did not trust the wolf, she was not risking Remy, and he was also useful for now. The vampire held his ground and quickly bit into Angel's shoulder ferociously. She cried out in pain as his bite sunk deep into her skin, radiating sharp pain through her upper body. The pain only pushed her fury as she got to work stabbing the back of the vampire before he could retaliate with his superior strength against her. Angel did not bat an eye nor display the slightest hint of remorse as the body slunk to the floor. Angel kicked the vampire aside without mercy.

Not caring to even cover her wound as blood trickled down her upper arm, she made her way like a bat out of hell towards Shay and grabbed her by the wrist, "How did you escape Sanguine Moon?! Do you know how to get back there? Tell me!" Angel's voice rose an octave as she assailed the poor witch with demands.

“Nah, Super-Witch, I’d say this look really suits you.”

The first, genuine smile Shay had in over a year’s time, was splitting across her face. It sliced through some of her misery and pain like bread and a knife. She managed a glimpse at the handsome man in the fedora. It was refreshing for her to hear something so pleasant and kind. She inhaled as he was attacked and moved to help, but then quickly backed off. She saw that he wasn’t being injured. But how? Shay glanced around. There were frightened humans gathered behind the red-haired warrior; the werewolf and child were tangled up in a battle. Then it struck her like lightning: Maeve. Had the witch cast a protection spell over them? It had to be her. Shay knew she had cast some, but none as powerful as the coven leader. She watched as he stabbed the vampire and pushed it off of him. Shay grinned at him and offered her hand to help him up.

Once he had stood, he inquired about clearing the exit. Shay nodded and glared at the vampires in their way. She scowled and chanted quietly to herself, “Adhibete flammis.” Shay intensified the flames in her hands and tossed them at the vampires to grab their attention. Some were able to move out of the way, and others were not. One of the lucky few was Charles, his face drenched in blood. Shay’s fury heightened as she stormed forward and halted less than five feet away. She knew he was an avid fighter, and wasn’t interested in endangering her fedora-partner in crime. However, she saw some of them beginning to circle him now as well. She felt tension rise. She couldn’t focus on both…

”Does hurting innocent people make you feel like a man, Charles? Does it give you some credit with your homeboys? Make you feel like a badass? To me, you’re nothing but a piece of shit and deserve to rot in hell for your crimes.”

He snarled as he wiped the blood from his face and kicked the human girl out of his way. She whimpered, utterly terrified. Shay cast a protection spell over her as she gathered more flames in her hands. This fire spell was one of her favorites. God, she loved using it. ”What’s wrong, Charles? Did I hit a sore spot? Is your ego bruised?

”You’re not supposed to be here, bitch. No matter - Alex will gladly take his pet home. Imagine how happy he’ll be?”

”Thrilled. Over the moon. Imagine, however, that I spare your disgusting life and you have to run back home like a dog with your tail between your legs, crying about how Super-Witch kicked your ass.”

He snarled and moved closer to her and began to circle her. Shay’s flames were causing him not to immediately attack. He was enraged; Shay couldn’t imagine why he hadn’t exploded from it. He shook his head and gathered his composure as he realized he was allowing her to get under her skin. ”Want to know a little secret, Charles? Shay raised her hands and formed the fireballs even more so. They were bigger than her palms and she had to keep them away from her as far as possible. She noticed some other vampires beginning to pay attention. ”I’ve always liked to play with fire.” Shay threw the fireballs at Charles who managed to dodge all but one. He screamed as his foot jacket was set ablaze. He quickly threw it on the ground and glared at her. If he was a basilisk, she would have died upon seeing the gaze.

Shay smiled sweetly at him and used a telekinetic spell to send him flying into the wall. It wasn’t as powerful as she had hoped, since her stamina was draining. She hadn’t used too much magic at once prior until now. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and bent over, panting slightly. She was exhausted; she hadn’t been eating, and had been stuck in a fight or flight for over a week. She felt so tired. Shay glared at Charles who was now grinning at her.

”Tired?” He taunted at her and began laughing. Shay glared at him and used the light-wielding spell, but it fizzled out quickly. Shay scowled as he ran at her and stumbled as she tried moving out of the way. She inhaled as her body slammed her into the floor. Her vision was blurry as she stared at him as he grinned down at her. ”Say goodbye, Super-Witch, to your freedom."

Shay stared at him and felt her composure momentarily break. Shay tried to summon flames, but Charles had pinned her arms to the floor. She watched as his fangs emerged and felt her heart rate accelerate. No - she hadn't come this far, to only come this far. Shay hated it to use more Dark Magic, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

”Summone obscurum. Goodbye.” Shay watched as dark energy formed around her and used it to force Charles’ shadow to attack him. He shrieked as he was kicked off of her. Shay stood up quickly, dizzy and disoriented. She managed a weak fireball in her hands and began to burn Charles alive. His screams echoed loudly as the spells forced him into submission and into death. Shay stared at her arms and moved away as her vision temporarily blackened. She bumped into something and for a moment, feared it was a vampire. However, Shay opened her eyes to see it was a bookcase. Shay slid down against it with exhaustion, her head bobbing up and down. She groaned and looked around at the chaos. Some of the humans who had been hiding, sprinted for the doorway and out. The looks of sheer terror on their faces broke her heart. Shay raised her hand and used a protection spell to seal the area to allow more people to escape. She didn’t have much energy for anything else and wished she could take a nap. Her mind was buzzing from the dark magic and toll of using so many spells at once. Tears filled her eyes.

For a moment, Shay thought she could perhaps rest for a moment, when the red haired warrior entered her line of vision. The woman grabbed her wrist and Shay looked up with irritation. Her once gentle spirit was now aflame with the dark magic. She had no patience for this. She resisted the urge to shove the lady and waved to her wrist as a silent plea to remove it. She did not have the strength to fight off this woman. It did not stop her from assailing her with demands, however, to her disappointment: "How did you escape Sanguine Moon?! Do you know how to get back there? Tell me!"

Shay stared at her, puzzled. Why would anyone want to go back to that hellish place? What the hell? She stared at her with confusion and rubbed her eyes. The painstaking memories of the sadistic clan was filling her mind’s eye and she winced. She glanced at her fedora-hunter friend and turned back to the red haired hunter. ”And I thought battling vampires was too much.” Shay muttered as she forced herself to sit up and eye the girl. She needed to know what this girl’s obsession was and why the hell she wanted to go to Sanguine Moon. There was no rest for the wicked.

“Git along little doggy!” she exclaimed with a cowboy accent while slapping the backside of her new mount. Finn started running, it was easy for her to stay on his back as Angel used to give Remy piggyback rides. “Wow you’re slow doggy! To many treats eh?” She winked with that last line knowing Finn couldn't see it but couldn't resist the opportunity to make that quip.

She heard gunshots and saw some hipster shooting vampires wearing a fedora. Remy hated fedoras. Now suddenly in front of her was a vampire holding a chair leg getting ready to swing, and hit the dog. It didn't seem to phase him though, and he went on to proceed to rip the vampire’s head off. “Guess he didn't have a leg up on you!” patting Finn on the head.

Remy saw a bunch of fireballs getting tossed through the art gallery, and saw it was being cast by some dark hair woman. Thatsss so cool she thought. “Quick, shoot that damn wolf!” there was now another vampire trying to put down Finn. But before she could even react Angel bolted over and rammed him depatching him quicker than ever. Everyone is having fun but me she sighed.

It was her turn, she jumped off of Finn’s back “Stay” she told finn. She looked through her backpack and pulled out a lighter and a pocket extendo pen fishing rod. She extended the fishing rod and casted it out towards the guy with the fedora. “OH NELLY ITS, A BIG ONE” Hooking onto the fedora taking it off his head and reeling it in from across the room. She quickly pulled out Finn’s phone and took a selfie with it holding it up as it was a fish. She went to grab the head that was ripped off by Finn, and then proceeded to to put the fedora on it. She lit the fedora on fire and tossed it at the vampire who said to shoot the wolf yelling “I cast fireball!” With the vampire distracted by the flaming head coming towards them, Remy fanned her revolver’s hammer shooting 5 uv-shots into the vampire killing the vampire and the fedora.“ YEEHAW 2 for 1! Remy 5-0!” Blowing the smoke away from the end of the revolver.

”Silly girl.”

Millie's head shot up, unburying her face from her hands in an instant as his voice filled the kitchen. The blood drained from her face and she could swear her heart had stopped beating at that moment. She had not expected him to be home already. How much had he seen? His reaction to the spell's removal had been a moment she had lived in her dreams countless times yet she had never even given a thought to what could happen if he caught her in the act. Dread filled her and made her skin prickle as if an icy chill had come over her, numbing her brain. She could not bring herself to look at him as he approached. She heard the sound of something tumbling into the trash and knew what it had been without having to glance over. Her body stiffened and she gripped her knees. It might have been possible to convince herself it was just a nightmare until the moment he took her chin and forced her to look into his eyes as he asked her if she had been casting spells.

Then it became all too real.

She felt the urge to swallow but would not dare to do so. Her adrenaline began to surge so fast she thought she would vomit, but she could not bring herself to move. Even all these weeks of love could not erase the truth buried underneath him: this man was quite literally a cold-blooded killer. It felt as if her fear was a being who knelt in front of her in Marius's very spot, choking her tighter and tighter with his every word, foreshadowing her incoming doom.

Millie caught a glimpse of his fangs as his head descended toward her and she shut her eyes tightly, trying to force her eyelids down with every force of her being as her body scrunched up as if she could retreat inward and phase through the cabinet.

Then a simple kiss, much like any other he had bestowed her, reached her lips. Millie's eyes fluttered open as he pulled away.

” There, that should be sufficient punishment. Now don’t do it again.”

Millie stared at him without any ability to compute what was happening. It felt impossible to read him. Was he not angry with her? Was he furious and plotting something worse? Tears spilled down her cheeks as guilt broke through her wall of fantasy she had built up for so long. How could she have done this? Her voice was barely above a whisper as she let words finally tumble from her lips. "I-... I'm so so sorry... I was just scared. I-I needed to escape. I couldn't bring myself to hurt you. I thought if I took it off you'd hate me and maybe you do so if you want to kill me I understand. " Again, she shut her eyes to brace the worst.

Eli caught a glimpse of the radiant smile on Shay’s face just before she sent a reign of hellfire towards the vampires blocking the exit. He fired off a couple shots at a couple other vampires but another ran straight for the witch. He saw a vampire drenched in blood making its way towards the witch with ferocious determination. That, along with the mutual look of hatred shared between the vampire and witch, was more than enough for him to know that their fight was personal. As a handful of vampires circled around him; he had much bigger problems now than what was going on between those two. He really wished he had his machete strapped to him but walking around a college campus with it strapped to his back would get him much more attention than he cared for.

“Come on guys, three against one’s hardly fair.” He said shaking his head, one of the vampires snarled and charged forward. Clearly, they didn’t care. He shot the first one that came for him with deadly aim. “You know these bullets really aren’t cheap.” He added as the other two came for him as well. The last thing Eli wanted was to run out of the UV bullets in the middle of this fight. So, he grabbed the nearest of the two as it charged forward, used the vampire’s own momentum to spin him towards the second vampire. He took off before the two vampires even collided, grabbing a shattered piece of wood from one of the broken tables that used to contain refreshments. Without a blade to wield, a stake was a close second. As soon as he’d grabbed the stake one of the vampires was already lunging for him, its teeth aimed for his neck. But Eli had the stake ready and the vampire practically propelled himself onto it. Eli pushed the now dead creature back with his forearm, pulling the bloodied piece of wood back from the vampire’s heart as the creature fell to the ground. He quickly scanned the room, anticipating another attacker.

The vampire’s that remained however seemed very focused on the wolf, shouting at each other to stop the wild beast. He also saw the child lighting a hat, attached to a decapitated vampire head, on fire and chucking it at another vampire. That hat looked surprisingly exactly like his own and as he reached up and scratched his head, he realized his was long gone. It was abundantly clear that this child was deeply disturbed as she then went on to shoot the vampire and his recently acquired hat several times. He shook his head, someone needed to have a talk with that kid’s parents once this was all over. With the vampire’s now focused on the those putting up a fight, and the exit now cleared up, the majority of the humans that still lived used the opportunity to flee. He took a brief moment to catch his breath and glanced around for the rest of the group, to see if the witch and the redhead were still alright.

He spotted the red haired hunter who had grabbed the witch by the wrist and was accosting her about something. He didn’t take the redhead for a Holy Savior, if Father Xavier caught one of his flock in a dress like that the man would surely have an aneurysm. But he was more than sure other groups of hunters could be just as radicalized, few shared his live and let live attitude towards the supernatural. Super-Witch also looked beyond tired at this point and he certainly wasn’t going to let another hunter take innocent life in front of him. The witch had helped out more than her fair share in the fight, and he hoped someone who seemed to work with a werewolf would have a more open-minded view on the supernatural. “Ease up Red, we’re all on the same side here, and in case you haven’t noticed there’s a more pressing matter at hand.” He shouted at the redhead as he began approaching.

So far the night was shaping up to go over rather well with Volfango and it helped Sorrel to feel a bit more relaxed. She gladly accepted his assistance when getting into the car even though she knew she would probably fare just fine without it. He was quite the gentleman and it was only polite to accept his assistance. She made sure she buckled up once in the car and as they drove she chit chatted with him about this and that. She made sure to continue to grace his ears with her voice as he had requested.

The drive to Ember Grove University didn’t take too long and they soon were getting out of the car. Sorrel took his hand as he stepped out and immediately heard the scream as well. Her attention turned in that direction as well when Volfango turned around and a chill ran through her. Something definitely wasn’t right and she could smell the faint scent of blood in the air. Soon Volfango had turned back around and was apologizing. She forced a smile on her face, trying her best to act completely normal as well until they knew for sure there was danger. ”That’s alright. Yes let us enjoy the festivities!” She said as she linked her arm in his before allowing him to lead her in the direction of the library.

The sight they were met with was like something out of a horror film. There were people frantically fleeing out of the art exhibit, but unfortunately some were still being attacked outside as well. She watched as a vampire feasted on a young woman and Sorrel felt fury course through her. Beyond the chaos outside seemed to be more chaos inside. She couldn’t see everything that was happening, but it looked like there was a fight happening indoors as well. ”Fuck…” She muttered as she realized she couldn’t just stand by and not help innocents. She sighed and looked at Volfango apologetically. ”I’m sorry Volfango, this was not how I planned to reveal this to you, but I can’t just stand around and allow innocents to suffer when I know I can help. I’m a werewolf and I know you are too. I really did just want to have a nice night with you, but it looks like things aren’t going to go quite as planned. Maybe we can continue our date later.” She stood on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek before giving him one last look, eyes now the red color of the alpha wolf within herself while she tapped into its power. She then let go of his arm and took off running towards the chaos.

She went straight for the man feeding on the woman who was either unconscious or worse. ”Hey! Why don’t you pick on someone your own size asshole!” She yelled at the vampire who was now eyeing her. He began to laugh and Sorrel realized her choice of words were kind of funny as she was quite tiny in comparison to this guy.

”Aren’t you adorable. Looks like I get to feast well tonight.” As he finished speaking he moved swiftly, but Sorrel was ready. She met him with surprising strength as they both collided and tumbled to the ground. They wrestled for a moment until Sorrel got a hold of his head and viciously began bashing his head into the ground. It was a gruesome sight and when she was done he wasn’t even recognizable. She’d sufficiently smashed his brain into mush and knew there was little chance he’d recover from that.

She got up and was moving to assess if the woman the vampire had left to attack her would survive when someone rammed into her from behind. The new vampire sent her flying through the air and she crashed through one of the windows of the library right into the fray of what was happening inside. She shook her head to clear it before glancing around briefly to see she’d landed near another wolf and...a child? How strange, she thought as she moved to get up off the ground and assessing any damage she may have sustained. Nothing seemed to be broken, thank goodness, but her outfit was ruined. ”Dammit, and so much work went into the outfit tonight!” She growled as she now looked up to see three vampires from outside with their attention on her. She’d been trying to avoid shifting into her wolf form as she hadn’t wanted to completely destroy her clothes, but since they were already messed up now she supposed it didn’t matter anymore. She smirked at the three vampires as her form shifted and grew in size into a beautiful silvery white and reddish colored wolf. She jumped on one of the vampires, quickly chomping down on him and tearing his head off while the other two also jumped on her. She knew she could take all three of them no problem, but it was gonna take her a moment to do so as she was a little out of practice.

Helene did her best to keep the pristine posture that had been drilled into her at a young age, but her body was shivering as she strained to keep composure amidst the hunger and anxiety. The number of stares that she was receiving did little to help, as this was her first time ever coming to This establishment. Pinkish-red eyes stared far into the distance as a horde of near-indistinguishable voices whispered in her ears while humanoid shapes haunted the corners of her vision. It reminded her of the one time she ventured into the lower catacombs of her family home, and saw a number of vampires imprisoned in cells. Her mother later explained to her that they were some of the most violent vampires to walk the Earth, without a clan and willing to kill anyone for the sheer pleasure of it. They were isolated and starved, given only enough blood to perpetually keep them in this state of delusion and fantasies. Helene had only been experience it for a little over an hour but those prisoners were there for years, unable to resist the sweet red nectar that could not satisfy them but kept them fully aware.

It took longer for Sierra to get back than Helene thought it would but when she did, the waitress took a seat across from Helene after setting the 'Bloody' Mary in front of the snow-haired vampire. Immediately the scent of blood became clear to her and her eyes widened as she looked down at the drink and up at Sierra who simply nodded and smiled. Helene's mind went blank as she took the glass in both of her hands and lifted to her lips, pouring the dark red liquid quickly into her mouth. The burning of sensation of Alcohol harshly irritated her throat but taste of blood encouraged her to finish it all in one swift motion. The slight shaking of her body ceased as did the amalgamation of voices that plagued her ears. The fog that had settled in her mind thinned out, but she could still feel its presence clouding her thoughts.

Having finished her drink, Helene's attention now turned to Sierra with a puzzled look "H-how.." She began to ask before Sierra let out a light chuckle "You seemed nervous so I thought a stiff drink would calm you down. We serve a lot of diverse guests here with different tastes, so you learn to guess what they need." She began to say and Helene thought she caught a brief glimpse of fangs poking out from her lips but it could have been just another on of her delusions. Sierra moved her chair closer in and leaned over the table a little "You seem sweet and young, so I'll recommend you head over to a place called 'The Pit'. Customers here can be a bit more than you expect. Still, I would be careful especially nowadays." It was astonishing to the naive vampire to hear Sierra's voice switch from a energetic, young voice to a more elegant, wise one. Helene was almost sure that Sierra was a vampire, but how old she was impossible to know. Then again, most vampires probably would not believe herself to be as old as she was.

Helene would have curtsied but was forced to settle on head bow since she was sitting "Okay, thank you very much!" It was such a relief to have someone help her out as she was afraid she would have to face this all by herself. Helene rose out of the chair and handed Sierra twice the money for the drink, who stood up to receive the payment "Just don't mention I referred you to another place to my boss! Good Luck!" Helene meekly extended her hand which seemed to catch Sierra off-guard a little, but she still extended her hand and the two shook before Helene headed out with a clearer mind. The iron hunger was still very much affecting her, though it was not screaming as loudly as it was. As she approached The Pit, the muffled sound of music and bright lights let her know that she was in the right place.

Though she was not seeing things as much, her mind was much more aware of the location she was at. It was difficult not to feel embarrassed even waiting to go in at the number of people present and the manner in which they were dressed. The bouncer at the front door stopped her and asked to see ID, and seemed genuinely surprised when it read she was over 21 though he couldn't see any evidence of it being fake. The inside of The Pit was far more than she ever imagined and she was overwhelmed with loud music and a number of bright, flashing lights. The sudden introduction of so much stimulus was almost too much for her, but Helene knew that if she didn't satiate her hunger now the voices and visions would only return later. Slowly she made her way down into the crowd and now she knew why Sierra suggested this to her. A majority of the people there were around their 20s and intoxicated to some degree. While the whole scene made her quite uncomfortable with the amount of physical contact, it should prove easy enough to find a willing victim.

While she said that, Helene found herself blushing as she sat at one of the tables off to the side of the main dance floor. That was when the familiar scent of blood came to her, and she searched eagerly for the source. Her predatory eyes located a man at the bar, who was bleeding lightly from his arm. It was like it was just for her. She got up from her spot and began to make her way over to him, giving herself the identity of a college medical student. She could take him to the side and pretend to fix him up. All she had to was get her lips onto his arm. "H-hi there, I couldn't help but notice..you're bleeding. If you would let me, I can clean that up." She offered with a bright smile, to which one of his male friends responded with "Man, you're getting so lucky tonight. Let me have the next one, shit." His voice was a mix of frustration and admiration for his comrade, but Helene was left a little confused.

”You know I have always been told that I was quite a tease.” Maeve gave him a smirk, but then laughed at his comment about Dracula. She’d always wondered if Dracula had truly been a vampire or not. Having lived as long as she had she’d definitely heard all the rumors and stories about the infamous Count Dracula, but she didn’t know what was real and was pure fiction. She supposed only those that really knew him would ever know. It did, however, make her curious if Alexander had ever met the man. Perhaps she’d have to ask him about it some time, but it would have to wait as it seemed he had a phone call.

Maeve remained silent as he spoke to whoever Sasha was on the other end. She quickly gathered that things weren’t going quite as planned at the exhibit. It made her curious what all was actually happening there and she almost wished she would have stuck around to find out. Had the few people she’d cast her spells on actually made it out? If they’d all been normal humans it would have only protected them for long enough to get out as soon as the commotion started. If they’d been caught by one of the vampires then the chances of them surviving would have been very slim.

Soon Alexander was off the phone and asking her if she’d had a hand in things going awry. She placed a hand on her chest in mock hurt as she said, ”You wound me sir!” She laughed a little and then sighed as she shook her head. ”I wouldn’t say I had a hand in things, no. All I merely did was cast a couple mild protection spells on a couple humans to give them a slight fighting chance. If they stuck around too long and were caught by one of your vampires it shouldn’t have made much difference. It may have made it a little harder for them to feed off them, but ultimately your vampires should have been much stronger than those tiny child spells.” She told him honestly with a shrug. If he got upset with her for it then she’d deal with it. ”If something has gone amiss than I can guarantee you that there are other forces at work. Were we positive that there were no hunters present at the exhibit?” She glanced at him, watching for his reaction all while still trying to pay attention to the road.

"Intercepting multiple Ember Grove Police Department calls from Ember Grove University."

"Fuck." Sean's phone had been buzzing nonstop for the last ten minutes with notifications from headquarters. His hands gripped hard on the steering wheel while his eyebrows furrowed intensely. His SUV swerved into the parking lot and screeched to a halt. The scene was as bad as he thought it was.

People were running for their lives...

Vampires covered in their blood...

Bodies scattered across the pavement…

Shattered windows…

Smoke and flames…

Sean sighed as he flipped a small switch beneath his steering wheel that activated a high-frequency whistle that would be like a blaring dog whistle to both werewolves and vampires in the vicinity of the campus library. The closer one was to the SUV in the parking lot, the harsher the effects.

He jumped out of the vehicle with not one, but two different rifles in hand and his tactical facemask equipped. Sean had to act fast. No breaks. No pauses. He quickly got down into the prone position with the larger of the two rifles while setting the other down beside him with his sights aimed at the fleeing art exhibit guests. Silent controlled shots hit their marks, and one by one witnesses went down, each twitching as they did. The fired rounds appeared as quick flashes of a white beam of light.

This weapon was an electroshock rifle developed by Operation Humanity meant to be used for nonlethal purposes against werewolves in while in their humanoid forms and witches as they often cast wards for general protection. This was a weapon that was by no means meant for humans, but Sean had to act. He couldn't have so many witnesses to the supernatural, especially not to the shit show he had just stumbled upon. He activated thermal imagery on his mask in order to catch sight of any others attempting to flee but only saw those debilitated by the constant high pitched ringing coming from the SUV.

"Good." Sean set the "nonlethal" electroshock rifle aside before grabbing a hold of the very lethal semiautomatic rifle equipped with a silencer and loaded with a magazine tightly taped to another. One filled with UV rounds, the with silver round. He'd start with UV first. He didn't bother with backup, Operation Humanity was probably sending as many grunts and trucks as they could to the university campus. Sean just had to hold his own till then. Remy and Angel were nowhere to be found, but his focus kept them from his thoughts. The here and now was the mission. The erasure of this incident from the public and the erasure of every creature of the night involved. He squeezed the trigger twice, putting down the first of several vampires.

The club was bouncing with small time thieves and business men and women there with their sex toys. One woman danced with a bald headed fat man in a nice suit, while a rich woman grinded her rear end against a young man dressed like a Wal Mart poster. People were drunk before they got there. Drunk, and high. You could smell the crack cocaine coming fresh off copper and glass pipes, and the aroma marijuana stinked of was unmistakeable. It was sin, and it was the sleazy side of it. Nothing like what you would see in the movies, where they ordered champagne or had a private cab to a secret club's masquerade orgy mansion. It was the Pit.

Adrian graced the woman standing next to Noah. When he was introduced to her by Noah he immediately felt her drive, and he smiled at her and said his name to her but that was the extent that the two interacted. Adrian quickly nodded at Noah and said, "We've got to get going. I think there's a reason the hunters are posted up tonight. I want to find them out." And, he grabbed at Noah to exit to the back parking lot. The two haggled through the crowd to make it to the back to the KILL truck.

"This shit is going to be groovy," Adrian said climbing up into the front seat. When they were both inside Adrian started the ignition and put it in gear to reverse from the spot he had chose. The parking space was in the back in a corner stationed away from traffic and idiots. He whipped the truck around into a row and drove it out in the street. They were heading toward a cafe type of place with a lot of young innocents, and at least two hunters. "Who was that woman you were with? She seemed a litle uptight."

For the second time this fight the young werewolf thought that he was done for for sure. There was nothing in the world that could protect you from a silver bullet shot from a big ass .50 handgun. No amount of muscle nor magic would stop the force of such an attack. He already imagined his pelt on the floor of some fancy pants vampire’s penthouse. As a final memory to the fact that he failed to find and save his brother.

But as he reminisced about what was and what could be he noticed a flash of red from the corner of his eyes slam into the vampire and drawing his attention away from him. It didn’t startle the vampire much but non the less the red haired hunter made quick work of the man. Once again a redhead seemed to have saved his life.

Quickly the big werewolf gave the huntress a thumbs up but he wasn’t sure if she even noticed his gesture of appreciation as the huntress seemed preoccupied with the witch. For a moment Finn listened to her rambling about sanguine moon. That must be the clan these vampires belonged to. It was only then that the young wolf realized that the witch girl closely resembled the girl on the painting that Maeve bought. His earlier remarks about the paintings were awfully close to the truth.

The crazy kid on his back seemed to have a great time, judging from her remarks. However when she finally jumped off Finn’s back the wolf noticed just what level of crazy the little girl really was. Playing with severed heads while shooting a way to big gun for her age and pretending to be some cowgirl at the same time. She was clearly on an previously unimaginable level of crazy. Did she belong to some hunter family? Or was she part of a large organization such as Operation Humanity. But whatever group she belonged to didn’t matter. It does not make it less messed up to have child soldiers. Even his father held his pack to higher standards,

Finn watched as the maniacal witch, redhead huntress, no more fedora man and crazy kid disposed of the last few vampires. He expected the chaos to calm down a bit now but the people were still running and screaming of monsters. For those humans it was hard to tell the difference between a human and a vampire after all. Regular humans just have such weak senses afterall. They simply did not seem to realize that there were no more monsters left. Except for that 6.5 feet big bloodied murder furry that Finn seemed to have forgotten about.

As Finn was about to revert back to his human form a girl came flying through the window. A spectacular entrance for a stunning looking lady. However there was one detail that caught Finn’s eye, her glowing red eyes. She was a wolf, an Alpha wolf. How peculiar, it was uncommon to see female alpha wolves. However, if she was an Alpha wolf, maybe she knew his brother. Maybe she could tell what happened to Mike.

As 3 vampires chased her down, Finn watched how the women shifted into her wolf form. Her fur was beautiful, combining shades of silvery white and red-brown. She wasn’t as big as Finn but the women had a grace in her wolf form that was stunningly beautiful. All combined with fierce red eyes. Grace, beauty, power and ferocity, all in one package. Captivated by her sudden appearance, Finn joyously wagged his tail like an overexcited puppy as he observed the female wolf from a distance as she bit the head of the first vampire.

As the two other vampires jumped on her, Finn launched himself once more into action. “Hi, cool of you to join the party. Never knew the art scene was this rough.” Joked Finn telepathically to the other wolf as he jumped on one of the vampires, forcing him off the back of the female wolf and biting the blooksucker in his neck.

The reaction that Marius had received from Millie brought him a strange sense of giddiness. Seeing the fear in her eyes brought him joy, made him feel powerful, yet at the same time there was a twinge of sadness. While he was impressed that she was able to keep a spell on him for so long, even finding it a little exciting, he also didn't like the fact that she felt the need to keep it up for all this time.

She began apologizing for what she'd done and he found this silly again. It wasn't until she said she'd understand if he wanted to kill her. He stared at her for a long moment, a little shocked, and then burst out laughing. He laughed for a long moment before shaking his head at the witch. "Why would I want to kill you Millie? You're far to entertaining." He said as he wiped a tear from his eye from laughing. He then moved to sit down beside her and wrapped his arms around her. "If you'd wanted help escaping all you needed to do was ask me silly. You'd captivated me far before I think you started casting any spells on me." He informed her, now smiling at her as he held her.

"Out of curiosity, how long have you been casting that spell on me?"

Her words about stupidity reminded him of the quotes his father used to write on the white board that hung on the refrigerator, ‘words of wisdom,’ his father had called them. All spoken by people who were long dead, and Noah put no stock in the wisdom of dead men. He did, however, care very much about the opinions of the undead. He was pretty sure she had just called both he, and Adrian, stupid before following such a statement with a vague threat. Did she actually feed from other vampires? Such a thought was beyond disgusting to Noah. While he had respect for those with age and power, he would not be insulted in front of his friend without returning the jab. He could not afford to be so young and look weak in front of the other vampires in his clan.

“Is that a threat? Now that would be very stupid, because here you stand all alone, while we stand with the clan who truly controls this town. How sad, to be in a new town all alone…” Noah taunted the older vampire while from the corner of his eye he saw the human who smelled of blood with another who had the hunger in her eyes that only his kind ever got. “Say, wasn’t he supposed to yours?” Noah asked gesturing towards the human with his head and grinning. He backed away slowly, keeping up with Adrian as he left as well, his friend much less interested in the strange vampire than he was. Noah didn’t really want a fight with the older vampire, but he knew better than to turn his back on one who might be an enemy. He waited until they had moved far into the crowd and she was out of his vision before turning around to better follow Adrian.

Noah was more than happy to leave with Adrian, the club had pulled to surface too many remnants of his humanity and he craved violence to forget that life once again. He pulled the ear plugs from his ears and tossed them in parking lot before climbing into the truck. He realized he’d forgotten to tell his friends he was leaving but decided he didn’t really want to share this kill anyway. If there was anyone who could keep Noah tapped into his evil nature, it was Adrian. He starred out the window as the car sped through town, towards where ever the hunters where. Noah shrugged as Adrian asked who the other vampire was, realizing that he hadn’t actually learned her name.

“Don’t know, but I saw her compel a human to near perfection. She wouldn’t share her secret though, ah well, it’s more fun when the bloodbags try to fight back right?” Noah said disguising his disappointment. He doubted the other vampire would be of any help now, and since she didn’t seem to know any witches either he wasn’t too interested in her at the moment. His mind had moved on the hunters, and his hopes that they’d prove more useful than the witches from earlier and the unhelpful vampire at the club. “Did you get a good look at them? Did they have crosses on like the ones who look for witches?’ Noah asked, now interested in killing, feeding, and finding Drake’s lost pet. Whether or these hunter’s were witch hunters or not, Noah had already decided he wanted to torture them some, just in case they had any useful information for him.

The young vampire seemed to react defensively to Ava’s taunt from earlier, which in turn also revealed a bit more about the boy. He mentioned belonging to a clan which he claimed had control over Ember Grove. Suddenly, it made sense why crimes have been swept under the rug in the quaint town, and why crimes were so numerous in the first place. If a vampire clan truly controlled the town, these things would be easily accomplished in order to create a comfortable hunting ground for their members. This had advantages for Ava too, though she disliked the possibility of running into more of them during her stay here. However, the redhead’s comment reproaching Ava for being alone left her a little aggravated. She found it insulting that the fledgling dared to speak to her with a tone of pity, and for a brief instance, entertained the notion of keeping him locked away for Ava to feed upon every now and then. She figured it was a better use of his vile existence to be food for her than to be a conduit of destruction in society.

Before Ava could retort or question him further about this clan of his, he motioned towards yet another bloodsucker who came out to play, attracted by the scent of her last victim’s blood, of course. Ava let out an audible sigh. For future reference, she made a mental note in her head that she shouldn’t leave her snacks laying around if she didn’t want others taking samples.

With Ava’s attention diverted, the redhead vampire cautiously left with his friend, likely to execute their plans of slaughtering hunters. The thought of giving the duo chase never occurred to her, since she had little belief that she would speak with them again. At least, she wouldn’t willingly make that choice herself. She focused her attention now on the meek looking girl who had approached Ava's prey, hunger visibly clung on her features.

Ava walked towards the girl, the prey, and his two friends, and positioned herself behind the girl by the bar so that she was sandwiched between her and the human men. She picked up a glass of rum and coke and leaned against the table. Though she was facing the bartender rather than the group, her pupils darted towards the human men with a subtle flash of red.

"Leave." Ava demanded.

"Dude, check out the chicks over there." One of them pointed towards the dance floor. Ava wasn't sure the compulsion worked on all three of them, but the others seemed to agree that whatever they laid their eyes upon was a worthy prize, and left in pursuit of it.

"Don't you know not to touch what isn't yours?" Ava spoke to the girl with a disapproving tone, but her expression softened shortly after. "There seems to be more of you than usual out to play tonight. Unfortunately for you, the dumpster outside has met its quota for corpses already."

"And you wound me just as much. 'Were we positive that there were no hunters present at the exhibit?' Of course there were hunters... as well as one of those hounds." Alexander spoke with a hint of venom in his tone. Acquaintance or not, he did not find Maeve's meddling entertaining. He had captured more blood cattle from the college campus, but potentially lost the clan members that were meant to feed from them. "I don't mind you being impartial to my war with those militant hunters, Maeve…"

The tension in the car seemed to rise as Alexander faced the witch. His face was cold and that of the monster responsible for the devastation of so many lives over centuries.

"...But do not fuck with the livelihood of my clan. I don't want to be your enemy, but I can be if my clan and goals are threatened." If his previous words had a hint of venom, these had a full dose. He enjoyed his relationship with Maeve, but in his long life, he learned most relationships had an expiration.

As the sports car arrived at the metallic gates of the walled community of New Paeonia. Alexander flashed a devilish grin.

"Thank you again. For your company, Ms. Brannigan." Alexander exited the vehicle, but gave his acquaintance a few more words as he walked away. "I do hope we can continue this Maeve, but that's up to you isn't it? Enjoy your night." Alexander departed with those words. As the gate of the dimly lit community opened up before him, he took notice of the large box truck that had been trailing behind Maeve's vehicle. "Perfect timing." Alexander spoke before entering the community. His home.

New Paeonia was a community that operated like a miniature town. There was even a prison. At the moment, the sidewalks were dimly lit by streetlights and populated by members of the community.

"Greetings Alexander! How was the exhibition?" One vampire asked as he passed.

"It was... interesting."

"Alexander has returned!" A younger voice, announced from a distance. The box truck drove by, headed for what many called "the farm" where it would be unloaded. Those inside would be unpacked, screened, and then questioned thoroughly before assuming their lesser roles in the society.

Alexander continued calmly down the sidewalk, but his face became icy as a cold expression formed on it. His eyes met the pensive face of one of his most trusted. Olivia Amarante. He could already tell she had bad news. Tonight is turning out to be quite something...

The girl did not say much other than mutter something that clearly didn't answer Angel's question. The fedora guy, who lost his dumb hat thankfully, was now telling her to ease up and focus on the more pressing matters. What he did not understand was that if they didn't locate the source, then these vampire attacks would only escalate from here. The annoying witch was wasting her time and he was right that she had to turn her attention back to the attack going on, so she quickly scrambled her brain for a solution, finally speaking to the dark-haired woman without even a sideways glance toward the other guy.

"Listen. It's really important I find out where Alexander is so he can be stopped otherwise these vampire attacks are probably going to become a weekly event. There are hunters on the way and they will take you in for questioning and who knows what else. If you work with me..." Angel was speaking lowly a, but hastily, so only the witch could hear as she let go of her wrist and then took out her car keys and pressed the unlock button. "I'll make sure you do not get captured. Black Toyota right in front of the school. I'll meet you there once I make sure all these vampires are dead."

Angel turned away from her and faced the man who spoke to her earlier, replying finally,"You're right." She glanced in Remy's direction to make sure she was okay before moving forward to launch herself at one of the backs of one of the last few vampires. She was able to propel herself up with her speed and wrap her legs around his waist stabbing into his throat viciously as the vampire grabbed upward at her, taken a bit by surprise as he yelled out. Angel finished him off after a tussle and a few stabs. The vampire crumpled beneath her and she quickly refound her footing. The pain was radiating from her shoulder and she had not had a chance to stop the bleeding yet, so she was hoping not too many. There seemed to not be many left at all that she could see. However, the number of werewolves seemed to have at least doubled somehow.

Jams: "Somebody get me through this nighmare, I can't control myself."

The faint scream Volfango had heard was the harbinger of a joyful date turned into a night of horror as people rushed to escape from inside the University. It was the first time Volfango had been exposed to such brutality and he stood frozen, Sorrel's curse going unheard as he simply looked on at the carnage. His expression was blank as he turned to look at Sorrel, who looked at him with a fierce look in her eye and revealed herself to be someone with the same affliction. For once in his life, Volfango was left speechless as she kissed him gently on the cheek and rushed off into the fray, her eyes glowing red with an intense power he could just feel. As the vampires continued to descend on the defenseless people, the scent of blood being spilled entered Volfango's nostrils. A piercing headache overtook him and he quickly gripped his head with both hands, clenching his teeth in an attempt to resist. It proved futile as he felt his skin itch and muscles ache to move before he let out a blood-curdling scream which slowly shifted into an ear-piercing, deep howl as he became the beast within.

What Sorrel perhaps did not take into consideration was that Volfango was a pup in terms of being a werewolf. Tattered black cloth hung loosely from his hips, his chest heaving up and down with every deep breath as he bared his teeth with an insidious snarl. A horrible noise pierced the air coming from the parking lot which greatly irritated his ears, further enraging the freshly transformed werewolf and pushing him towards the bloodshed. Volfango was drawn to Sorrel's familiar scent and her presence as an Alpha, though there was a number of vampires between them now as she crashed through the window of the art gallery. Sharp, powerful claws dug into the ground as he ran on all four to the first Vampire he saw and leaped on top of them. His ruthless aggression was enough to compensate for his lack of reasoning as his claws rended flesh from his target in a flurry of vicious strikes. He finished his first kill by latching his jaws around their neck and violently pulling and twisting until the head had held on by only a few strips of flesh.

Blood dripped from his jaw as he growled while sniffing to air to once again catch Sorrel's scent to confirm her position. The massive form of Volfango rushed through the entrance where everyone had been fleeing from, catching the last remaining Vampires off-guard who were more focused on Sorrel and the unknowns who surrounded her. Volfango tackled the vampire closest to him, sinking his teeth into their neck while his clash tore at their flesh from the sides. It was messy and inefficient, allowing the vampire to get a number of their own attacks in but in the end Voflango prevailed and left a motionless corpse. The hulking werewolf turned to face the rest, who were now positioned between him and the others blocking their avenues of escape. Volfango took a step forward and let loose another howl that chilled the bones and shook the chandelier above.

Whew. At least I got a couple kills in. Then she noticed there were two more doggos now. “Must. Contain. Self. BE COOL REMY.” She muttered, knowing she may have gotten a little out of hand with excitement so far. On the other hand she saw Finn’s tail wagging seemingly at the sight of the 2 more dogs. “OMG CUTENESS OVERLOAD” A literal squee could be heard across the art gallery. If Finn was okay with them, they had to be good dogs right? But she knew she had to hold back her excitement as she saw Angel panicked talking to Ms. Flamethrower and bleeding from the shoulder. “Angel you okay? Your bleeding I can sew that up for you!”
