Hiya everyone!

As described in Olo’s CS, Olo looks like a child and is not a skilled adventurer by any means. Because of that I think it is highly unlikely that he was asked to help with the Barovian problem in the first place and maybe was even discouraged from participating in this whole thing. He, being the wannabe-adventurer that he is, will still try to join a group.

How he joins this party would depend on whether he already knows one (or more?) of the player characters or not. Olo has been part of many adventuring groups and organizations over the past ten plus years, so it wouldn’t be inconceivable if he met anyone who was part of an adventuring group or organization.

If he met none of the characters previously, I was thinking of having Olo just stalk the first adventuring party he saw. That or perhaps it was pure coincidence that he bumps into the group while traveling. Maybe even a combination of both? He could have been with a different group initially, but then they either (a.) got killed or (b.) left Olo behind when monsters overwhelmed them and Olo was just lucky to survive long enough to meet this party?
