It seems like Olo and Ronan actually have a fair bit in common, in that they are both eager to adventure. I think, if the two were to meet beforehand, Ronan would relish in the opportunity to talk up his own escapades to a young (or so he thinks), hopeful adventurer. If Olo were to form some kind of admiration for Ronan's embellished tales, that could provide a base for an adventuring partnership between them, and may even be Olo's free pass into Barovia?

Ronan is likely a lot more conniving and chaotic than Olo, so he would more than likely see it as an opportunity to feed his ego and maybe have a song or two sung about his exploits by someone other than himself. But he certainly wouldn't let Olo in on that secret. Still, there's no doubt he would admire Olo's spirit for adventure, so I think it could make for a fun camaraderie between them.

No sweat if you have something else in mind for your character though! Just some food for thought before we get started.
