*Tightens the strap binding the sword across my back* Are you ready Jesper? Jesper: *Nods, his hand coming to rest on the head of his axe* Let us put an end to this foul creature. *I grunt my affirmation and begin to march forwards, down the ancient stone steps and into the bowels of the crypt, my armor clanking noisily alongside Jesper's as we trudge deeper and deeper into the murky abyss. After a while, we come to a small coffin lined room, from which emanated a weak blue light* *I raise my fist and draw my sword from its back-mounted sheathe* This is it. Let me go first then move in to flank. *I pause* Remember, go for the throat. If that fails, the hands. We can't be too careful. Jesper: Got it. *I move into the room, taking stock of my surroundings. There were coffins, lots of coffins, most of which were empty as expected. Despite this the room was far from peaceful. At its center stood a hooded figure flanked by a ring of braziers, their bronze interiors alight with blue flames that rise up to singe the ancient brickwork above* Necromancer! *I brandish my blade* Your life ends here! *I watch, tense, as the necromancer turns. The unnatural light shifting to reveal two pits of coal set in a sunken and decrepit face* Vaumon: Oh on the contrary... *They lift their hands on high, and the sound of dirt being moved echoes from somewhere nearby* Vaumon: It has just begun. Jesper! Now! *He doesn't respond. I blink and turn to look for him, only to be met with a wicked looking dagger pressing into my neck. My eyes widen as I feel the coppery tang of blood wash over my tongue* Je… Jesper… *I cough, splattering blood against the inside of my helm as my strength leaves me. Glancing downwards, I notice faint markings along the length of the blade. An enchanted weapon then. That would explain my sudden loss of strength. Struggling to breathe, I shift my gaze back to him* Why?
