While many students sought to get to know their dormmates or just push through the day to prepare themselves, the day seemed to have a long shadow over everyone and everything. Maybe, just maybe the headmaster’s commanding tone had set such a mood, but however the students chose to power through it unless they were rather oblivious and naïve they would’ve felt it. When a strong blizzard cut through the midday, sometime after lunch it only made things more difficult for those who wanted to stretch their legs or explore away from the campus in the few hours they received of supposed acclimation. Whatever answers any upperclassmen in the dorms could’ve offered would not have seemed fulfilling by any measure and by the time night came, morning rose as fast as the sun had set. After getting a quick breakfast, they knew the next step to get to the next day was to finally sit in their classroom. 1A. The pamphlet given to them had a brief map of the grounds and facilities; they knew how to get where they were expected to go. However, whoever arrived first would find the classroom empty with lone pieces of folded paper on each desk telling where each student was expected to sit. By all appearances it appeared they were early as their instructor, Kinzokuma-sensei, had yet to arrive. Strange. But Ishin was known for playing mind games.
