There was a black aura that seemed to melt away from a small slightly blue ball of light that had pulled pulled itself from her chest. This black aura seemed to try to pull at the little soul ball, trying to drag it back to the heart through the hole in her chest that Kistal had formed. Soon, they had melted away and the soul was freed, taking refuge in Kistal's bracelet. The black tendrils seemed to diffuse into the shroud and dissipate into the air. When Kistal spoke out to the soul in his mind, it seemed to flicker a little. "Where... where am I? she instinctively asked, "so... tired..." The soul seemed to be sputtering, as if it itself was nearly burnt out. It would seem that soul forced to expel its own mana in order to fight, the controller not even bothering to supply it. It would regenerate over time in Kistal's bracelet, but her energy was critically low. "Mysha... my sister. She's looking for me. I must... stop her. I'm... so tired... I will show you, while I rest." There was a small pulse from the soul inside the bracelet, and suddenly, Kistal was no longer in the desert. He was in a long dark hall made of black stone. Just as the girl was now a spectator to him, Kistal was now a spectator in the point of view of the girl's soul.
Timidly, she made her way down the hall to a heavy door. She had noticed it was slightly open already. She had a small tray, on it was an expensive tea set. On the other side of the door, she could hear some low laughing. Not thinking much into it, she knocked on the door a few times, but to no answer. She tried once again and noticed that there was no more sound coming from the room. "M-master Calibris, sir. The tea you requested..." "Ah, Nakhia, why don't you bring that in here," she heard him say. from that alone she was stricken with fear. He would never allow her in his study, she would normally leave the tea out on a stand outside the door. She shakily opened the door, and looked around the room as she stepped in. "Come'on, come'on, I haven't got all day." he urged her with a growl in his throat. The room was a mess, books everywhere, the desk cluttered, a magic pedestal turned over in the corner. Calibirs looked a wreck. His hair was ruffled and his clothes were unkempt. "Set the tray down on the desk..." She quietly did as she was told, trying to avoid making eye contact as she did, but this allowed her to see what was on the desk. strange markings and arcane symbols littered the desk. there was an evil aura from it all and it made her hands even more unsteady as she went ahead and tried to pour a cup for him before leaving. She managed to get it done under Calibris's close eye. As she bowed to him and started to leave, however, he stopped her. "Hold there, just a moment," he commanded as his hand grabbed her shoulder. By instinct, she flinched, but didn't fight as she was redirected to the table. "Do you recognize these symbols? I doubt you have, as it is an old type of magic. These books are some of the last remaining pieces of information on rune magic, something that was destroyed by its mysterious creator years ago. Interesting things, these runes. Magic can be stored within these runes and used at will, simulating the old Gruskan art of instant casting, but available to anyone. The capabilities are as endless as the imagination permits.... What do you think of this?" Nakhia swallowed nervously, stammering out an answer so as to be able to leave as soon as possible, "I-it is...quite a marvel. I imagine its utility being a major help to the Calibris family." "Quite right! A keen eye as always. As such I thought of just that. with runes, I can create the most efficient of factories. However, I had another though..." he said as he looked to Nakhia. "I can put runes on many things and then imbue them with power, and it is so hard to find good help these days, what with Red Saints being as stalwart as they are and trying to worm their way into the minds of the people. So I had an idea I want to try out. Since you are so supportive of this magic, I would like you to help me in this new project." The eyes he stared at Nakhia with were beyond predatory. There was a dark evil inside them, burning into her. "M-master, what d-do you mean?" She said as she started to back away from him, clutching the serving platter to her chest. "Nothing much, I just want to see if these runes can help make the perfect and most obedient workers. I want to try these runes... on a living body," he said with a wicked sneer. Nakhia barely had time to react when multiple blade like arms burst out of Lord Calibris's back and he was on top of her. She screamed out as she was pinned down and Calibris began his work. She tried begging and pleading for him to let her go, but he was too intent on his work to care, letting her scream in pain and agony as he started carving runes into her flesh both inside and out, even going so far as to etch into her bones. The memory started to fade as Nakhia's life came to an end, the last thing she saw was the demonicly twisted face of Claibris as he laughed while doing his work, her screams fading away down the hall, with nobody brave enough to go see what was happening. It wasn't the first time a servant had been killed in his study, and from Nakhia's later memory, wouldn't have been the last.
As Nakhia's soul finished sending the memory, she had gone inactive, needing to rest before she could continue communicating further, leaving Kistal without and other explanation for now. Every bit of fear and pain Nakhia felt was transferred to Kistal during the memory, even though he was just spectating. If anything was for sure other than how Calibris was treating those beneath him, it was found out that Calibris was no human. As Allanon and Chihiro would approach Malkhad's body, one or both of them could sense a presence only a second before they could hear it. Suddenly, there was an impact that landed on the middle of Malkhad's chest that ripped through him and went into the ground below. following that was the sonic boom of something flying in and hitting the ground, a faint voice in the sound following it. "HI HIIIIIIII," was all that was heard as the dust was settling. However, they wouldn't have long as a part of the rocky ground away from the lava broke up and a small red blur was seen hopping out of it. It landed on two legs and started shaking violently, throwing of blood, dirt, and dust like a dog would water. When anyone focused on it, they would see a strange creature in a mask, straight jacket, red cloak, and a demonic sword on its back. But what was worse is that hugged in its arms was the large crystal that made Krogan's soul gem. The thing started hopping up and down excitedly. "Yay! Kitchi get! Jeevak proud!" she cheered hopping up in down in place for both joy and because she was hyper.
