[color=a0410d]"In that note they sent us earlier, they said they wanted two things: The girl an' some 'cloud book' they must 'ave found on one of us. I doubt we'd get any advantage from givin' 'em the girl or lettin' 'em keep the book."[/color]
With that last round of healing from Azzen, Angus had recovered enough to stand without too much difficulty. He followed the others with javelin in hand as they proceeded to move further into the dungeon, listening to Najila report what was up ahead. "[color=aqua]There is a hall ahead...and a room on the right.[/color]" Najila said. "[color=aqua]The room on the right looks like barracks...but there are two people, bruised and chained to the ground,[/color]"
[color=a0410d]"More prisoners no doubt."[/color] Angus commented.
"[color=aqua]I recognize one of them! Nadir![/color]" Najila exclaimed. "[color=aqua]But...where is Layla?[/color]"
[color=a0410d]"Nowhere good I reckon."[/color] Angus guessed.
"[color=aqua]The other occupant in the room is a lizardfolk of blue scales. It seems he too is a prisoner,[/color]" Najila continued.
[color=a0410d]"Bloody dragon-likes."[/color] Angus muttered darkly. [color=a0410d]"No doubt a traitorous minion bein' punished fer its treachery."[/color]
"[color=aqua]I hear a faint breeze. There is an alcove. I see mountains from the arrow slits.[/color]" Najila spoke further. "[color=aqua]There are crates obscuring the path ahead--NO![/color]"
[color=a0410d]"Gah!"[/color] Angus exclaimed, startled by Najila's sudden cry.
"[color=aqua]Who throws a fire bolt at an owl?![/color]" Najila asked indignantly once her senses returned to her body. "[color=aqua]That's like kicking a cat![/color]"
[color=a0410d]"Look on the bright side."[/color] Angus said in a consolatory manner. [color=a0410d]"Yer owl ain't [i]dead[/i] dead. 'E is a familiar after all. Once you've got a free moment, ye can just re-summon yer feathery friend good as new."[/color]
