If the girl intended to become aggressive, then it was more likely that'd happen later down the line. She did just sustain damage, after all. And if that bridge was entirely burned, then it was unfortunate. Samantha had fought with Mariette at one time and thought that she'd make for a fine ally, even if only taking into consideration the girl's specialization. This made it all the more frustrating that the person who potentially destroyed their chances was Trixy. Even if things were hectic, this was inexcusable. How many times did Veronica go out of her way to suggest allying with someone as the first resort? That should've made it clear, but Trixy had acted almost like a child and neglected this. She would have to spend her frustration disciplining Trixy later. If she wanted to act like a child, she would be treated like one. A rough spanking would be in order. That would humiliate and cause her to reflect on her actions, wouldn't it? Yeah, that was a plan. Silhouette remained perched on a part of the roof as she looked down upon the scene. Hyun had been defeated non-lethally thanks to what appeared to be Amaryllis sacrificing an arm. Although Silhouette couldn't see herself doing the same mostly out of no desire to save someone, the willpower necessary was still impressive. She could almost commend the girl, but things only began to escalate with the appearance of Eden, the culprit, and the Ascendancy immediately going into purge mode yet again. Her crimson eyes narrowed on Rachel. It was true that Eden evoked unpleasant emotions from Sil. She would certainly like to plunge a blade through the woman for ruining the night, and her attitude was irksome. But how many times would these idiots show up and do this very same thing? Penrose had a multitude of problems that cropped up, and it did not need to have the Ascendancy hovering around each one like some vultures. Worse still was they acted like they were any better than the ones they hunted. Coercing people into changing aspects about themselves by threatening death? Haughty attitudes that belittled the existence of Dark Magical Girls, treating them as insects. But they all bled and died just the same. The slaughter that took place here should have made that fairly obvious. But maybe it wasn't enough? Maybe they needed to lose more. Samantha could take from them. What was one more body on the pile? Clearly, the rest of their fallen brethren were of little import. Expendable bodies to throw at their dogma. But the one she was eyeing... she seemed to hold some form of value. She was, after all, ordering the others around. Would killing her spark a change in the Ascendancy? She didn't actually think it would. But it would provide some form of catharsis. Alicia's outrage had served as a fine distraction. After mentally sending Trixy off with a vague affirmation, Samantha snaked along the darkness provided by the night as an inconspicuous shadow, leading her behind the inquisitor. Silently, the blob took shape, and Samantha raised her knife. She opted to take no risks, her blade being filled with mana as she swung horizontally, aiming to part the inquisitor's head from her neck.
