A twelve-year-old orphan embarks from his hometown with only a sword and handful of arcane knowledge to guide the way. His goal? To find a cure to a mysterious plague, the Black-Eyed Blight, that has begun to ravage his hometown, Eagletown. Join Caleb Crowsnest as he journeys across the world and its seas with a handful of unusual companions including an unusually loyal seagull, a spellcasting "rablin", a golden fish-horse hybrid, and the beloved pointer dog to the estranged Nieve family. Rushing headfirst into a hostile draconic empire and finding involvement in a fantasy-styled gang war is only the start of it. Where will fate lead this unlikely party next?

Hey there. 

I'm Hyde, Hydeo Kojima, Soft Boy™, whatever you want to call me. This was the first Roleplay that I joined on these forums circa late-April 2020. We've come some ways, but as things are right now, we're desperately looking for new members. We're a pretty knit tight group that dresses in neon and wears stiletto heels on Tuesdays. Our GM is the lovely [@Zapdos] while we have two equally lovely writers aside from yours truly, [@Tiger] and [@Dusty]. We're pretty friendly and we are also looking to find someone new to join our ranks, possibly several new people. Although our OOC on the site looks dead, we're very much active in our Roleplay's Discord. So, what exactly is this Roleplay?

The Adventures of Caleb Crownest™ is best described as a "writing experiment" of sorts. The concept is that everyone is writing the same story with the same characters by adding their own content, ideas, and so on. We've established some of the lore already though there is still so much more that needs to be fleshed out. Everyone is the GM in that sense and we've been mostly developing ideas as we go. There is a twenty-four hour posting limit that may scare some folks off, but I want to add that we are pretty laid-back about missing it or giving extensions if needed. The Roleplay itself is also meant to be "easy apply and easy drop" based on preference. We welcome players to come and go based on their availability for that reason. We know that we are currently 75+ posts in, but an unanimous decision has been made that we are [u]not[/u] asking new players to read through the entire Roleplay. We'll provide any interested parties with a summary which can be found below:

[*]A 12-year-old orphan, Caleb Crowsnest, sails out to find a cure for his village, Eagletown.
[*]He meets Rainbow, a creature crossed between a goblin and a rabbit ("rablin") accompanied by a white pointer dog, Ribbon.
[*]After being shipwrecked, Caleb and Rainbow massacre the island's inhabitants who are Dwarves responsible for the murder of Rainbow's friends and captain.
[*]The two then sail away towards their destination of Thorn City where a skeleton doctor, Roger, and Ribbon's owner's wife resides.
[*]Out at sea, they meet a fish-horse hybrid (hippocampus), Edward, along with his friends of a merman and siren.
[*]After joining Caleb's crew, Edward is attacked by a pliosaur which is temporarily scared off through illusion magic. 
[*]The crew journeys onward until they hit land where they are robbed of a valuable pearl and become separated from the chaos.
[*]Rainbow becomes captive to a blind gnome, Scer’Ki’Penes (or Scer), who is planning a coup against the authorities of Thorn City.
[*]Caleb and Edward, meanwhile, meet an alligator crime boss, Byures or Hunter, who guides them to Thorn City.
[*]Caleb and Edward arrive at 182 Blossom Street where they meet the skeleton doctor that they sought after, Roger.
[*]Other members of the family are introducing including John Jr, his daughter Kayden (10), Marrathew, Mary, and her children, Jake (8) and Skyla (5-6).
[*]Also introduced is the former criminal and elderly Sara Nieve who has secretly recovered the stolen pearl with the help of Ribbon.
[*]After curing Edward of his own ailment, Roger agrees to help Caleb under the condition that someone rescues his daughter, Lydia.
[*]Sara's son, John Jr., meanwhile tries to find Rainbow only to be attacked by three lizardmen instead. 
[*]Although Caleb ends up injured from combat, all ends well enough for him and he is finally reunited with Rainbow.
[*]The Nieve family, on the following morning, hold a memorial for their lost family members while a coup begins elsewhere in the city.
[*]And, now, a coup begins to unravel in the streets of Thorn City. . [/list][/hider]
