Morton sighed heavily as he walked down the street. He had never had to fill out so much paperwork in his life. He felt mentally drained as his way back to their guild appointed apartment, wondering if Meeka had as tough of a time at the guild hall. Fumbling for his keys, he finally retrieved the one he needed after a little more effort that it should have taken to find, and then opened the door. Looking around, everything seemed pristine, though that may have been because all of their boxes that were unloaded while he was doing the work were still yet to be opened. The clutter that made a house a home was yet to be added and not a box was opened. Was Meeka really not here already? He could have sworn that she was going to beat him home. "Alright then... lets see what's keeping 'er," he murmured, not wanting to have to walk back out somewhere again. He arrived at the guild hall, still seeing light and shadows of the other guild members inside. Pushing through the doors, he took a look around. It was a mess of people everywhere, and the place was a mess itself, some strange damage to the wall as he made his way across the room. No sign of Meeka anywhere still, and it was starting to worry him a little. "Oi, you there," he called to a guy who just got his drink from the bar. "S'pose ta be a meetin' here for tha newly enlisted guild members. Any idea where they went after they left?" The man just laughed to himself. "Ah, they didn't go anywhere mate, they haven't left since they got here. On in that back room, only door open right now. Guild master likes to watch newbies squirm as they wait a bit," he explained continuing to chuckle. "Bit of an odd way ta getcha kicks...," Allard commented, "but at least I know where they are. Thank 'ya." Allard walked down the hall a bit till he got to the door of the meeting room everyone was in. "Ah, Meeka, ma'girl, there ya are! What's wit all this then? Is it true they've had ya sittin 'ere all this time?" he asked, crossing his arms with his brows furrowed. "Oh, Father, I thought you were busy with paperwork and couldn't make it," Meeka said, surprised to see Morton was here. "We were just introducing ourselves since we haven't seen the guild master yet....the orientation still hasn't started...," she said, the last sentence being much less enthusiastic. Morton grumbled something under his breath about the guild leader but then cleared his through. "I was but I had no idea y'all would be held up here tha whole day... Right then," he cleared his throat, jerking a thumb to his chest to point at himself. "Tha name's Morton Halsey, I run Belle's now mobile Kitchen along with my daughter Meeka. If ya need a good fillin' meal witout bustin' yer wallet, I'd wager there's not a better place ta come by. An if ya need a hand ya help in tha field I'd gladly be there ta lend it," he said with a broad smile and a puffed out chest. Morton then went to go take a seat next to Meeka, "now where tha bleedin' 'ell is that guild leader. Didn't even see 'im on the way in here." He looked around the room a bit to take in all who had responded to the notice. A girl that looked to be the mix of an orc and an oni... orconi? She looked like she would be fun to have a few drinks with, though he wasn't sure what in blazes was that little creature nestled in her chest..., well her probably shouldn't stare. There was a gnome who seemed to exude a pompous air about himself, a hyena looking man, two girls with spirits, and two swordsman. An odd group for ones coming out to cook, but they also needed to be able to fight as well he guessed, so judging from their covers wouldn't do much. "This is Wilben, Eshima and her spirit Kitchi, Yuuris, Suyi and her spirit Lucifer, Yumi and her spirit Umi, Argo, and... I'm sorry, I seemed to have rushed things, you haven't introduced yourself yet, have you? If you did I apologize," Meeka said as she gestured to each one to tell Morton their names, stopping at Samir since he hadn't been able to introduce himself yet. Morton could honestly say he didn't know any of them, but there was one in particular the he recognized the name and described appearance once he was given a name. Yuuris, of all the people for the guild to attract, why him? Sure most things seemed to be rumors, but he wasn't fond of the risk that came along with him. Why would a merc want to join a monster hunting and cooking guild? He would have to keep his eye on this one.
