[b]Korax, First Officer[/b]

The mission was a success. The hostages had been released, the pirates surrendered, and there were minimal casualties. Which was not to say that all loss of life had been avoided, but for a situation such as this it could have been much worse. That was what the records of previous encounters indicated, and Korax was inclined to believe them. 

There had been congratulations all around when they returned, and he made sure to commend the quick thinking of Beta Team in dealing with the trap engineered by Du-Vos aboard the [i]Moray[/i]. it was what they deserved for their performance and their teamwork, and Korax saw no reason to fudge or otherwise alter the impact of their contributions to the success of the mission. 

But repairs were necessary, and so the ship had returned to the nearest Starbase. It would not be long, but they would be able to spend some time recovering and preparing for the mission ahead. Soon they would be through the wormhole, and off on their true journey. It was only a bit delayed. 

As the rest of the crew filed off to enjoy some leave on the station. Korax moved to stand next to Carabello. "Greetings Captain," it said without hesitation. "Will you be taking leave as well? This one can oversee the repairs if there is anything you wish to do before the ship departs."
