Well, I could point out that DSW wants to move out of his comfort-zone, but selects a character (Owlman) not much different from Deathstroke, and certainly fits the niche he enjoys. 

Or, I could comment on the apparent lack of attention given to previous posts in the IC and OOC when considering characters.
