She hadn't put away her pad just yet when an alert rang, informing her of an incoming message. Beatrice took a glance and saw a message from someone named Nick, presumably the one to be running the show. Maybe it was the default auto-reply to newcomers. Or maybe he was out and about and had to keep it brief. They had just docked, and there was nothing like getting off a ship after being out regardless of the length or severity of the mission. Whatever the reason, Beatrice just wanted to get some rest. Get off her feet for a couple of hours, a beverage in one hand and maybe the book in the other. In the moment, that would be extremely nice. But she couldn't have it all, at least not the drink. She would still have to attend a briefing and maybe do a quick walk-through if they did that sort of thing aboard the Prize. Though if the head honcho was away, Beatrice could play, and her definition of play was to lie down and listen to a relaxing playlist with her sleeping mask on. Or at least, that was the idea. First, she would have to find her quarters. Once more, Beatrice turned to her pad. She messed around for a few moments but there wasn't any special note regarding room assignments. That was either a system error or any one free room was up for grabs. If she did went ahead and moved into any room she chose, there really wouldn't be any repercussions. The worst that could happen was she'd have to pack up her stuff and be reassigned. Beatrice liked those odds, and so her plan was to continue to walk until she found someone who could guide her in the right direction.
