He had been called just Wulf, when growing up, to avoid any confusion when he had been around his father, who bore the same name. Age:19 Appearance: Wulfric stands 6'2" and is sinewy and wiry of build. His somewhat handsome face has blue grey eyes, whom look at the world with a determined stare. His shoulder length raven black hair is parted in the middle and trimmed to keep any of it from getting into eyes at inopportune moments. He is dressed in finely tanned deerskin clothing, leather armor and light boots(moccasins). With a green woolen hooded cloak. With a Longbow in left hand and a quiver of arrows over his shoulder, along with a backpack. Belted at his waist is a single handed battle axe in it's leather axehead belt sheath. That was both weapon and tool for camp chores. Also on his belt was a sheathed hunting knife and two large and one small belt pouches. He also had a circular shield attached to his backpack, across his back, which contained or had strapped to it the essential items that some one like him would have with them. The circular shield could swiftly be detached to used with his battle axe in hand to hand combat. That is if, any foe still living can get close enough to do so! Equipment and weapon: See that which is listed above. How your life was before coming here (Bio): Province of Almira 15 years ago, Wulfric Waywarder, retired after 20 years of service. As a Almirain Ranger, which was the title given to a senior scout in the Almira Provincial Defense Force. As a reward for his service he was given a deed to 100 acres of prime forestland located five miles to the west northwest of a village called Ediburg. Five years or so before he retired Wulfric had married wife Valania. It was with her, who had just become pregnant again and his 4 year old namesake son and two year old daughter Varienia. That he travel to Ediburg and then to his land. Where they established a palisaded steading that in time was surrounded by a small apple and pear orchard. Wulfric and his younger brother, Wulfhere, who was born a short while after their arrival there. Grew up, when they got big enough learning how to hunt, trap and wild foraging for edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms. So as to live off the natural bounty of the wild, if need be. As well as the agricultural arts of garden plot farming and orchardry. Along with animal husbandry concerning the raising goats and chickens for mostly the milk and eggs. Their Father also also taught his sons how to fight ranger style and use the guerrilla warfare tactics he learned as a Scout in the Almira Provincial Defense Force. Only the year before the three Waywarders and a few other of their distant neighbors who lived between where they were and Ediburg. Put a end to a band of more than a dozen brigands who had set themselves up in a cave, as their base of operation. An had started robbing and sometimes murdering those who traveled by road to and from Ediburg on the caravan traderoad that ran through it. Twice a month between the beginning of spring and the end of autumn. The Waywarders made a trip into Ediburg to sell tanned skins and furs to the tanner/furrier that was there. An also sell any surplus wild game meat, goat cheese, fresh and or pickled eggs, apples and pears in season. Along with the hard apple cider or pear brandy that they brewed. To the villages General Mercantile and or the Inn that was there. With part of what they earned, they purchase the few supplies that they need. That their self sufficient lifestyle could not provide. Next spring, at the Festival of Renewal, Wulfric planned to become handfasted to Avalynn Amberfield She was the second eldest daughter of a family who had a farmsteading not to far outside of Ediburg. She was a year younger then he was and they had known each other since they were children. Once they were married, they would live with his family, as he would be the one to inherit his family's land when his father passed away. Though he seemed young for his age. His father had seen 55 winters, which was a lot more than a good many. All was going well for young Wulfric Waywarder until the Cursed Plague struck......to be continued. Wulfric was out running his longest trapline which was a two day trip. Covering the terrain in a roughly a oval shaped route. With the Waywarder Forestland Steading at the bottom of the oval. With it taking a whole day of checking traps, resetting and rebaiting them if need be traveling one side of it. Then staying the night at a hidden small trappers cabin. That had been built just that reason. Then the next day doing the same, traveling back home on the other side of the oval. The morning he had left, his family were going into Ediburg on one of their twice monthly trips into the village to sell what they had a surplus of to buy the few necessities the needed. So Wulfric's Father, Mother and sister had gone to Ediburg, leading there only pack mule, Elle. It had been Wulfhere's turn to stay back at the Steading, to keep a eye on things. It was usually a one day round trip. Leave in the morning, spend a few hours in Ediburg and then be back home by sunset. But when Wulfric got back home at the end of the second day. He found a worried Wulfhere. As their parents and sister hadn't returned from Ediburg. The two could not imagine what could of happen to keep them from coming home. For such had not ever happen before. If they were not home by morning, Wulfric planned on heading into to Ediburg to see what he could find out. Once again leaving his frustrated younger brother at the Steading. Such was the case. Wulfric had gotten a bad feeling in his gut about this whole situation. For some reason he was also worried about his betrothed, Avalynn and her family, He tried to tell himself he was overreacting, but his gut somehow told him that he wasn't. Thus, he made his way more casually, then usually as he made his way toward the settlement. So it begins.
