I've dropped seeds for two plot threads that will make up the first story arc here:

1. Dracula's disappearance. The only clue is that he recently received a letter from a Doctor Pretorius in South Africa.

2. The Phantom plans to publicly reveal the existence of the creatures and declare Paris a safe haven for them.

Feel free to get in on one or both, or if you'd rather just ignore them entirely and pursue your own goals then that's great!
