Who can say? I don't know how many people sent threats, but I know multiple threats were sent. Someone who sent threats apologized to her on Twitter. Laura said that she forgave them (I probably wouldn't have been able to forgive that easily if I was in her position tbh)

I mean, people didn't (as fas as I have heard at least) go after Imelda Staunton because of how horrible of a person Umbridge was, and Umbridge is some who is hated more than the literal Hitler allegory character. People wen after the kid who played Joffery in GoT, and while I know nothing about why Joffery was hated, so I don't know how his misdeeds stack up to Umbridge, but from what I've gathered what Abby does pails in comparison to scarring school children both physically [i]and[/i] figuratively or attempting mass incarceration of a minority.
